Ive used the red band, and like you said, i moved back to the green to not learn any thing bad. To me, the red would be useful for the pivot and the takeaway but that is it. It really does pull at the top, so much so that when you relax, you become way too flat. I also use a impromptu impact back with the PM and it feels awesome. I hope i see some course benefit with it. Thanks for all your great comments in here. I’ll start 1) i 70/30 would buy it (this was gifted to me for my birthday). I like the concept of it and works well. Price is just a little steep for resistance bands and a belt (although thinking about it, it’s the price of a few lessons that you can work all the time with so really not terrible). The smart ball might be a better investment or may pair well with it. 2/3) I am still using it and love it. My swing was a mess prior to using it and has drastically improved. It gives you the proper feels you need. I can also practice in my house without a ball or in the park with whiffles and still get feedback. 4) make sure this addresses and issue you have, it likely does as it helps with takeaway, top of swing, shallowing the downswing and the pivot. Also a huge help with pitching and can be used to help chipping and bunker play. side note: Because I am strong, I do notice I can overpower the bands, so take things slow. do the short band protocol for a few weeks ( I rushed to full swings after rushing the protocols and that set me back). also tape yourself or use a mirror as I found myself still swaying with it. good luck if you take the plunge! It really is one of the best aids out there and I have tried many. Thanks for all your great comments in here. 1) Yes, absolutely 2) Yes, still using it. In fact, I wish I was using it more. Sometimes I can't get to it because...life, but in a perfect world I would go through a couple protocols daily. 3) It has definitely helped me. If you're researching this, then you should be able to find the 7-day protocol on their web site with the short green band. (The other protocols become accessible once you buy it and register your purchase.) The first protocol really trains a proper takeaway, which was very beneficial to me because I tend to whip it inside too early. Another protocol (fourth I think) has you resisting the band at the top of your backswing, another one invaluable to me in terms of generating a lot more width in the backswing. How it specifically helps you depends on your own swing faults I suppose, but I'm convinced it's helped me. 4) I know you said one thing, but...a) don't jump in full bore, follow the protocols exactly as prescribed. b) Don't use it to the point of fatigue. Many of the protocols require you to resist the band...if you start losing the battle with the band because you're fatigued I think you risk teaching yourself some bad habits. Thanks for all your great comments in here. 1) I'm probably closer to 50/50. Like @rbsiedsc mentioned, I think I could get similar benefit (for my particular game/swing flaws) from the smart ball. 2) Occasionally. Mostly for practicing my takeaway. Combination of Planemate and mindful practice has pretty much eliminated the inside roll takeaway that I had previously. Probably worth the price of admission right there! 3) As I alluded to in No. 2, my takeaway has gotten a ton better through consistent practice and Planemate usage. My instructor always remarks how incredibly better my takeaway got in such a short time period. I think if I used it more often I would get some benefit from fuller swings as well. (Unfortunately, I'm limited by ceiling height in my basement, so takeaway work is the easiest for me to do without needing to empty the garage and deal with the cold.) 4) I think the Planemate is a great training aid for two types of people: Those who have never swung a golf club before and have no "bad habits" or preconceived notions about the swing. Those who have a pretty good grasp of what their swing faults are and can "self-coach" a bit. I know you fall into the second group @Golfspy_CG2. The reason I believe this particularly point is because of my own self-reflection. When I started using the Planemate in July, I had really good results with the early protocols but absolutely bombed out when trying to move to the full-swing band. I know now why that happened (my concept of the backswing turn, left side bend and weight shift), but I really didn't figure this out until very recently. I've tried a few of the full swing drills since making this "discovery" and they turned out much better. sirchunksalot, GolfSpy AFG, Golfspy_CG2 and 1 other 4 Quote Unofficial WHS Handicap: 7.5 / Anti-Cap: 13.0 (Last Updated Feb. 19, 2024) Driver: Callaway Paradym TD (10.5°, -1/N), 45.75", Fujikura Motore X F1 6X | Fitting Post 3 Wood: Cobra RadSpeed Big Tour (14.5°), 43", Fujikura Motore X F1 7X 20° Hybrid: PXG 0211 (2020 Model), 40.25", Mitsubishi Tensei AV RAW White 90X 4 Utility: Cobra KING Utility (2020 Model), 38.5", Aerotech SteelFiber i110cw Stiff 5-PW: Ben Hogan PTx Pro, 37" 7 Iron, Aerotech SteelFiber i125cw Stiff | Club Champion Fitting 50°, 54°, 58°: Edel SMS, V Grind, Nippon Modus 125 Wedge| Official Review Thread Putter: L.A.B. Definitely one of the best purchases I've made for my game. 2) I actually use it before every round on the range when I warm up. I only take a few swings with it on, but I want to make sure I have the feel before I start the round. 3) It's helped so much, especially in my short game. My lowest score before using it was an 85 and I really struggled to be consistently around that mark afterwards. As soon as I started using it, I shot an 80. I'm consistently down around mid-high 80's now. I actually shot +1 in a 9 hole tournament to get 2nd!! 4) I would make sure you have time go through the protocols completely. Do not skip around or do a bunch at once. Do one protocol and then take it to the range to practice and get reps in. I also wouldn't use it with the driver until you do the advanced protocols. I got messed up by doing that and it wasn't until the advanced protocols that I was able to get it back. I have enough space in my backyard to hit a 40 yard pitch shot, so that was my "practice shot" during the protocols. I was in a few outings where they asked of a lay-up yardage and I begged for 40 yards. They thought I was crazy until I stuffed them to 2 inches each time. I'm just able to turn through shots in my short game so much better! I'm still trying to work through using it in the bunker, so I'm not sure about that yet. Yes, I would buy it again, it's really been beneficial for me especially in helping rid myself of the inside takeaway. 2. I haven't used it in a couple of months. After going back to work from furlough I was dealing with pain in my feet from having to readjust to standing on concrete for 10 hours a day. 3. Even though I haven't used it in a while, I'm still reaping benefits from what I learned using it. I'm focusing now on getting into the slot with driver and the results are looking good. Having used the Planemate I'm more aware of how to manipulate the club so I'm swinging it from the inside. It's also helped me become more mindful to not use my arms as much and rotate in the swing better. 4. I'm going to agree with @rbsiedsc on making sure it's going to help with a problem you currently have. If you are not rotating properly or have issues with your takeaway coming too far inside, it'll definitely help. I'm planning on going back at it as soon as we go on our Winter Shutdown in a week and a half and I can't wait to strap it on again. Ha. No worries. Thanks for the reply. It definitely sounds like it will help the issues i have, which in no particular order are. Too inside on the takeaway Not enough depth in the backswing Not coming from the inside on the downswing. Not Staying in posture on the downswing Not getting to the leftside in my downswing Other than that, my swing is pretty damn solid cnosil, GolfSpy AFG, edingc and 2 others 2 3 Quote G430 Max 10K TSiR1 15.0 Aldlia Ascent 60g TSR2 18.0 PX Aldila Ascent 6og TSi1 20 Aldila Ascent Shafts R T350 5-GW SteelFiber I80 SM10 48F/54M and58K S159 48S/52S/56W/60B Select 5.5 Flowback 35" ProV1 Play number

Micah T
I finished the day 5 protocol today, and I would agree with everyone here: it almost instantly made me a better chipper/pitcher. The height and stopping power on even a small chip struck properly was worth the $160. My takeaway feels more connected and I feel like my head is moving around less. I can tell already that you can make a bad trait worse by using it improperly. I sometimes make a “fake” turn and compensate by using my hands too much, usually from way too far inside. The negative that I notice is I’m striking the ball a little fat during practice immediately after using it.Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy Nolan220, sirchunksalot and Vegan_Golfer_PNW 3 Quote Driver - Cobra LtDxLS 3 Wood - Ping g410 LST 2iron - Titleist U505 Irons - Ping i59 Wedges - Vokey Sm9 Putter - Mizuno Mcraft IV

My problem is also thins as I practice indoors without a ball (see video) and takes a few range swings to get my bearings back. Enjoy your lower scores. trying to get more vertical with the six iron. I see I finally kept my front shoulder from starting my downswing on this on. That is my main OTT killer. Vegan_Golfer_PNW
Here is some planemate swings with my 6i today going at different tempos to try and get the feels. Outside of one swing where I dipped my lead shoulder I think this was a good practice. The thing I noted helps me is to try to loop my trail shoulder back on transition to shallow the club Nolan220, Golfspy_CG2 and Kenny B 3 Quote Follow my journey to enjoying golf and going low Driver: Epic Max LS Ventus Black 6x 44.5" 3wHL: Rogue ST LS 75x Tensei AV Blue w/ xlink 7w: Apex UW 21* MMT 80S DI: Caley 01X 18* with KBS PGH Stiff plus 95g 4-AW: 0211 with KBS Tour Stiff 2.5* up 3/4" long, Soft stepped, MOI matched Wedges Zipcore Putter: L.A.B. Outside of one swing where I dipped my lead shoulder I think this was a good practice. The thing I noted helps me is to try to loop my trail shoulder back on transition to shallow the club Something I notice in your swing. You don’t have much rotation of the upper or lower body and it causes you to lack depth in the swing. You are very arm dominant. which is probably caused mostly by the lack of rotation and depth. Your arms are very high at the top and should be much closer to the lead arm being on the same angle as your shoulders The result of the first two comments lead to you arms and hand being over the front of your feet when they should be farther behind you body. All of this leads to you moving toward the ball and and not rotating properly. If you use the fireplace as your reference point and watch where your butt is at address and then throughout the swing. It doesn’t move further back in the backswing. You stay right on it thru the downswing and as you come to te finish you actually move in front of it whereas your lead hip should be rotating back and around and should cover the fireplace opening and block it. i grabbed a snapshot of protocol 5 as a reference point at the top of the swing. You can see where David’s hands are at the top as well and how his lead arm is more inline with his shoulder plane. He’s using a wedge here so his turn and swing length are going to march his shot type. Since he’s hitting a wedge and not going full out those are going to be short compared to if he was hitting a full shot or a longer iron. You are swing a 6i so your turn should be bigger than his and you arms and hand should be deeper Quote Driver: PXG 0811 X+ Proto w/UST Helium 5F4 Wood: TaylorMade M5 5W w/Accra TZ5 +1/2”, TaylorMade Sim 3W w/Aldila rogue white Hybrid: PXG Gen2 22* w/AD hybrid Irons: PXG Gen3 0311T w/Nippon modus 120 Wedges: TaylorMade MG2 50*, Tiger grind 56/60 Putter: Scotty Caemeron Super Rat1 Ball: Titleist Prov1

I do have limited mobility and when I do try to rotate and I film it side on, I have a sway to my swing. I will say yes, my hand to seem to be too high, although the angle of my camera to the protocol video is different. When I try to get more depth in my hip rotation, it also feels like I am about to fall over. Any advice is greatly appreciated. In terms of my butt position, I did the 18 birdies AI swing analyzer and it told me that I was rocking to far back and that my butt should stay in line. Is this not correct?
