Best Gambling Games for a 3 round, 7-8 man guys golf trip?

Hey guys, so we've been doing an Invitational tournament for like 18 years with the same 7-8 guys - roughly all the same handicap give or take. We play a players fee and pay out the top 2-3 players in a straight gross event, do a daily skins game as well, but this year we'd like to include something a little more interesting so the guys who aren't playing in good form can do more than just donate. I've never understood how a Calcutta works, but I know it involves an auction/bidding kind of thing.

What would everyone suggest we try with 7-8 guys playing a 54 hole event to give even the guy finishing DFL a chance to leave with some dignity (e.g. Money 🤑)

Thanks a lot!

Ken

We usually do a side bet game called snake.  Essentially, whoever 3 putts picks the snake up and whoever has it at the end has pay out the agreed amount to the others in the group.  Say I 3 putt the 1st, no one else does the remainder of the round, but you do it on the 18th, you’ll end with the snake and pay each member of the group our agreed bet.  You can up the ante, and say the snake starts at $5, but doubles each time it’s passed to another player, although that can get expensive.  You can also make the payout per 9 if you want to as well.  It may be a bit tougher to do over two groups, but start a group text and keep up with it til the end.  That could get costly as well as you’d have to pay out 6-7 other players, in your case, versus 2-3 if you kept it within your playing partners.

You could play 6-6–6 within each foursome each day. You play six holes with each of the other three players; net low total wins the hole. Play carryovers or not, your choice.

Can easily add "Sandies" to your current game. I play it as a side bet nearly every time out.

If a player scores par or better on a hole where they find a fairway or greenside bunker, then each player pays the player scoring the "sandie" the agreed amount. We usually do $5 with 18 holes. Maybe bet less over 54. Maybe more depending on the group. Just dont want it overtaking your main game. But with your group, the player scoring the sandie could get 7X5 = $35. Gives you a chance to win, if your ball striking is off and you are hitting bunkers instead of greens, or fairway bunkers instead of fairways. One good sand shot and a putt and you are collecting. Of course it could go the other way and help the better players as well. But that is betting for ya. At least not everyone has to witness it and the other scores have no barring on it, so it is really easy to add to any game.

Hi, I think this is cool and interesting, because dynamics and contact are extreme and reckless, but I switched to online a long time ago, especially given the pandemic, it's better to sit out.. I started looking for resources that would be convenient, interesting and my friends would like. My choice of Kahuna Casino, I recommend that you read more about kahuna here, you will learn about the features of this platform, the main features, characteristics, and the bonus that you can receive after registration. Do not waste time, but go and get acquainted, good luck and health to everyone at this not just time, be better online..
