pulledabill
Took the bargain route and bougt a 1x30 belt sander and put a linen belt on it. Had my doubts about the 1x30 but I saw that Golfworks sold them and belts so it must be ok. Just turned my 1st ferrules and its too quick, especially for a beginner. It runs around twice as fast as the 1x42s. Maybe with some practice....??? McGolf
I'm an 1800 rpm guy, buttttttttt with practice and a light touch it can be done. Others have put on a variable speed controller on them to slow them down. I have no idea if it was better or not. edteergolf
Takes time but you can get it. There is also a correct direction and wrong direction to turn the ferrule.
pulledabill
I've looked at the variable speed controller but I don't believe it will work with my set up. I was turning with a makeshift stand which needs improving on. I think the stand might make the difference for me as I don't have the steadiness of a fine tuned surgeon. McGolf
a good solid stand make all the difference and can control the rate at which you lean in and how hard. Then the other hand controls the speed of the turn. lite and slow!!
