Member map feature

I LOVE the new Member (and home course) Map feature. FYI The only way I could accurately pin my course on the map was to drag the cursor to it. When I put in the L/L coordinate, I couldn't change the Longitude from the default East to the required West.  Maybe I missed something? Being a boater as well I can easily relate to L/L, however, most people will probably just drag the cursor - so no big deal. 

Also I hope we have this feature as a sticky.

Nice feature, my only complaint is the new post notifications with all the people commenting and editing their locations. Wonder if there is a way to filter them???

Great point - we don't want to clutter up the forum with the adds/changes/comments.

You can just free-type the city in and it'll get you pretty close.  I know it's not as specific as the L/L but that should be enough for the map purpose.

The updates are in a separate stream if you go to Recent Content>Course Reviews.  Are you receiving notifications for all comments or just the ones you're tagged in?  I'm receiving almost no notifications for these updates so I think that's a personal setting.

It isn’t notifications; it is “new posts”. I’ll have to check my new post filter when I get home to see if I can filter them. . They don’t show up in tapatalk, but when I pull the new posts at home I get a listing for comments and when the locations are edited. The first day you set this up I have thousands of new posts.

Yeah, it's a new posts thing, not notifications. The other day there were pages and pages to go through to find new activity in posts that were actually interesting.

On the desktop version - i only click on the posts I'm interested in.  So apart from the "new feature" banner I wouldn't have clicked on the posts.

I only click on posts I am interested in as well. I don’t open each forum, I just press the unread posts link to see everything that is new. Generally it is less than 50 topics and I choose the ones that are interesting. I don’t click on the posts but I have to scroll through them to see the new posts.

Very strange.  I use Desktop probably 50% of the time, and I don't have a New Posts option anywhere that I cans see

I use this option, located in the upper right corner of the screen.  It then brings up all posts in chronological order from all forums.  It sounds like it works the same as New Posts, but I have yet to see any notifications of the map postings

I don't have a 'New Posts' option either. Could he mean 'Recent Content' and then click on the star or bullet to see the most recent posts?

Sorry to clarify.  I don't use the recent content link.  I have a custom stream called "unread content" and it was set to see all content.  I changed it to show everything except "markers" and the map content is no longer listed
