cnosil
Your list is probably getting full for that amount of time. Lots to see in the Smithsonian museums that can easily fill a couple of days. I would add the holocaust museum to your list. The metro will be the best way to get around. I’ll try to think of some other things I have enjoyed. golfertrb, Big money and M. DaveP043
There are too many good restaurants to name just a couple. One thing you might consider is catching a live show, either at one of the larger theaters (Fords, National, Kennedy Center) or live music at one of the smaller venues like the Hamilton. A good source is https://www.bandsintown.com/en/c/washington-dc-dc If you're a bit adventurous, you can try the flying trapeze classes at https://washingtondc.trapezeschool.com/ The Garden Tour at Dumbarton Oaks is a nice experience, combined with a wander around Georgetown, with loads of shops and restaurants. M. Parsons
Yes, you've gotta good list going. I would add the Museum of the Bible. As far as restaurants, I'm sure the list is limitless, but one place I really enjoyed in while stationed in England was Nando's Peri-Peri, they are only in 3 cities US wide and DC has about 7 locations. golfertrb and Big money 2 Quote In my BR-D4 6-way King F9 set to 9*, Tour length Hzrdus Smoke Black 6.0 S-flex, with GolfPride MCC +4 mid-size 3W - 13*, UST Mamiya 65 Gold S-flex, with GolfPride Tour Wrap 2G SIM UDI 2-iron - 18*, Mitsubishi Diamana Thump 100 X-flex, with GolfPride MCC Align ZX5 4-5 & ZX7 6-PW, Modus3 120 Tour S-flex, +1/2", with GolfPride Tour Wrap 2G - SM8 Tour Chrome, 50.08F - 54.10S - 58.12D, DG Wedge Flex, with GolfPride Tour Wrap 2G Custom Fit 35" ER6 Red at 68 degree lie angle and 4 degrees of loft MTB-X NX7 Pro Slope Tracked by #WPS Link to comment
DiscipleofPenick
Park the car and use the metro. All the best stuff is at the Mall. Smithsonian American History & Art (classic, not modern) are my favs. Also the National Archives, and the zoo.The best restaurants are going to be up towards Georgetown and Adams Morgan. Dupont Circle area has lots of good stuff too, and is a major metro stop.Take Dead Aim Big money 1 Quote Take Dead Aim Driver: PXG 0211 10.5* Fairway: Titleist 917 F3 15* Hybrid: Adams Idea Pro Boxer Gold 18* Irons: MacGregor MT-86 Pro Wedges: Vokey 50/54/58 Putter: SeeMore X2 Costa del Mar Ball: Srixon Z-Star Link to comment

Tarheelvolvo
There's an amazing BBQ joint up in Adams Morgan, closer to the Zoo, that's amazing - was featured in House of Cards for a bit. Federalist Pig Definitely make a stop if you like BBQ at all. Otherwise, I love China Chilcano. Bistro Bis, Old Ebbitt Grill, and Capital Grille are fun to see celebs and/or Congressional delegates. And another staple is getting a Half-Smoke at Ben's Chili Bowl! Have a great time! STUDque
As a local, I feel like I should weigh in. You've already gotten tons of great suggestions and the fact is, you'll never be able to do it all in 4 days. I'm not sure where you're staying but I'll offer some cool areas to walk off those delicious meals you're about to eat. These places offer a wide variety of restaurants and nightlife activity. 1) In the heart of the city, Georgetown and the District Wharf are some beautiful areas to spend time right on the river. I got to spend a week at the Wharf recently and LOVED it. New construction does it for me. 2) Across the river in VA, Old Towne Alexandria provides a hip scene with a free art museum that stretches down to, you guessed it, the water. 3) Skip across the other river into MD and you can get to the National Harbor with the gleaming landmark of the MGM casino. In addition, there's multiple blocks of world class restaurants and a boardwalk along the river with seasonal attractions and a giant Ferris wheel that marks the skyline. In case you can't tell, I love places on the water. I also really love DC. Hope you enjoy the trip! Adding to this, the new developments around the Navy Yard and east of National's Park are full of good restaurants and at least a couple of brewpubs. I can specifically recommend Saltline restaurant, and beer from Bluejacket brewing. This area is also the home to the Trapeze School I mentioned earlier. Golfspy_CG2
You've gotten a ton of info that I can't add much to. Other than the fact if you are needing advice on areas of town to stay in hotel wise, I was a Hotel General Manager in the DC/Alexandria area for 10 years. So I'd be happy to help you on any of that direction.
