Has anyone hit these yet?

I have. They go very, very far. I can’t feel much difference between these and the originals. The speed pocket definitely works, low shots still get out there. Easy to get the ball in the air. They’re great irons. I wish I could afford them. VSS technology in the shaft is interesting as well, there’s less feedback in your hands on off center shots. Not enough that you can’t tell you missed, but that harsh vibration is lessened.

Here you go. A kit to put the inserts into your own shafts. I purchased the Sensicore inserts years ago and put them in my shafts myself. Really easy!

Not a fan of sensicore or any insert that could potentially hold moisture. Had a set many years ago and my shaft snapped mid swing where the insert was located. Some research revealed that they trap moisture and can cause the shaft to rust from the inside and weaken the shaft. Maybe they are better now, but I am biased.

Shaft inserts are an interesting topic. I coach running, and we recommend athletes never use inserts unless a doctor tells them to. We’d rather see them get fit properly for shoes that negate the need for inserts. I imagine golf would be the same, or do they just improve on a shaft that is already a great one for your swing? Additionally, how much do they impact swingweight?

No impact to swing weight as they only weigh 1.5g...

How long did you have those shafts? Moisture, rust, and degradation of the shaft from the interior would take awhile I’d think. I’ve bought Sensicore shafts, and also inserted them. Never had an issue. I also make sure my tape covers the end of the club on all three wraps I have under the grip. Additionally, I don’t play when it rains.

Was a long time ago; probably early 2000s, and was a set i had bought used so I can’t attest to how they were treated. I would guess I had them about a year.

You can do a google search for sensicore shaft rusting and see some of the discussions.

Lord knows, I’ll never own a set long enough for them to rust through!

Thanks, I'm really looking forward to hitting these in the next couple of weeks, will be hitting them alongside some others but looks wise just from viewing the website they have really caught my eye.

I was fit for irons spring of 2018 and the two best for me at the time were Srixon 565 and Titleist 790. Fitter thought Srixon might be better for me in the long term so I went with them.

Titleist had a golf fitting day at my club so I stopped by after practise and quickly tried the new 790’s.  Not ideal conditions as it was raining and standard size grips feel like toothpicks as I use oversized with four extra wraps.  Did not help not having rain gloves so only able to take easy swings.

Irons were very easy to get in the air.  Feel on all shots was much better than my current clubs.  I can get handsy on some swings which leads to me hitting slightly behind the ball and making contact toward the toe of the club.  As mentioned you can feel mishits (easier the the 585s) and turf interaction was better than before.  Also found shots hit toward the toe seemed to fade less than my current irons.  Won’t commit to saying these are better than my current irons but will definitely look at them again before next spring.
