fixyurdivot
Champion Tour players with this distinction have a small placard next to their name on the sign-bearers board and are announced as such at the first tee. I first started noticing this while attending The Boeing Classic and became more familiar with St. Augustine's World Golf Hall of Fame. (still on my bucket list). Did you know that there are currently 160 players (and a few non-pro players) who have been inducted into Golfs' Hall of Fame? I didn't know there were that many. The first class of inductees (1974), the largest ever, are; Gary Player, Gene Sarazen, Sam Snead, Harry Vardon, Babe Zaharias, Bobby Jones, Byron Nelson, Jack Nicklaus, Francis Ouimet, Arnold Palmer, Ben Hogan, Walter Hagen, and Patty Berg. There have been a handful of class years with only one inductee; Cary Middlecoff, Pat Bradley, Patty Sheehan, Dinah Shore, and Betsy King (short ceremony ) . The years of 1996, 1997, 2010, 2014, 2016 and 2018 had no inductees (weird ). Most surprising member to me... George H. Bush (2011). I usually see these ceremonies on TGC, but don't recall this. So the BIG question is, what year will The Cat get the nod? They recently changed the criteria for minimum age from 40 to 50... otherwise I have to think he would already be in. Anyway, it's a cool thing for the game of golf and its fans to have... thoughts? RickyBobby_PR
Not really a big question. Tiger has been hall of fame for over a decade he just didn’t meet the age requirement. It’s not like he’s going to get passed over when he turns 50 Quote Driver: PXG 0811 X+ Proto w/UST Helium 5F4 Wood: TaylorMade M5 5W w/Accra TZ5 +1/2”, TaylorMade Sim 3W w/Aldila rogue white Hybrid: PXG Gen2 22* w/AD hybrid Irons: PXG Gen3 0311T w/Nippon modus 120 Wedges: TaylorMade MG2 50*, Tiger grind 56/60 Putter: Scotty Caemeron Super Rat1 Ball: Titleist Prov1

I did read that the change was made because players elevated fitness levels are enabling them to play at a high level for longer periods. golfertrb
The Bush's part in Golf is amazing - 41 is named after his paternal grandfather Herbert Walker who helped establish the Walker Cup - he was also a former USGA President, as was 41's father Prescott. Good stuff.
