Grip Tape Residue

Recommended Posts

In an attempt to re-use good grips I've started using a compressor to remove the old grip. My question is how do I get the residual tape in the grip out?

You could alway squirt some grip tape solvent into the grip and use a brush or some kind of “stick” to Scrape off the residue. I have used a long narrow Screwdriver in the past; no need to scrape hard the solvent helps separate the grip from the tape.

I agree with the general sentiment that if you don't need to do it; don't do it.  But a small pipe brush and solvent should do the trick.
