StrokerAce Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 Wow... I never even really knew Ken Green but his stories about the Masters are great! I might just have to pick up his book... https://www.golfdigest.com/story/ken-greens-wild-ride-at-the-masters I didn't realize that he started both the kid caddy for the par 3 or the skip the ball on 16 ... that's pretty cool. revkev Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 This was a great read so happy that I took a little time for it. Thanks! Kenny Green was a nice player BTW. Not great but capable of winning an occasional event 50-100 type guy. He was also a character. He was in a terrible accident of some sort a number of years back - lost the use of some of his limbs. I use the chrome soft x ls on my league course. It has much softer softer greens than the club that I belong to. I’m on a mission to shoot my age - lifetime lowest round is 66 and I’m currently 67.
BIG STU Posted December 14, 2019 Posted December 14, 2019 I met Ken when he was playing the Sunbelt Senior Tour a number of years back. Quite a character. He was involved in a horrible vehicle accident about 10 year or so now. His motor home blew a steer tire and actually hit a guard rail. His girlfriend at the time and his pet dog were killed and Ken lost an leg. Glad to see he wrote a book Driver ---- Callaway Big Bertha Alpha Speeder 565 R flex- - 7W TM V-Steel UST Pro Force Gold 65R---- Irons 5 thru PW 1980 Macgregor VIP Hogan Apex steel shafts--- SW -- Cleveland 588 56* S-400 Sensicore --- LW Vokey 58* SM5 L grind--- Putter 1997 Scotty Cameron Santa Fe Fluted Bulls Eye shaft--- Bag TM Flex Lite Stand---- Yeah I know only 11 clubs G
