All new clubs this year and worked my score and handicap down slowly. I did EVERYTHING right today.Great round! Then I got married, and went to playing weekly , then kids and went to playing twice monthly hahahaha. Getting a membership next year, and will be playing 2 to 3 times a week again.I use to play high 70s low 80s consistently when I played that much. Wanting to get back there. It was just one of those days. I must attribute most of my low score to being accurate, straight, and consistent with the driver today. I've never hit so many fairways in 1 round as I did today. The short wedge game helped also. A few years back I shot a season best 84 (45 and 39) during a tournament as a 15HCP and the 8HCP in the group was giving me "that" look by the end of the round. Didn't help that he had an off day. Thank you Sir. It was nice that everything came together. Typically it's either my Driver, irons game is good, and chip/putt is crap or vice versa. I truly think being refitted (it's been 6 years) and getting newer clubs throughout my bag this year, has helped, but also given me a new found confidence in my game and clubs, that I haven't had in a long time.
