fixyurdivot
So we're into the 2020 campaign and it is time for some predictions. Will Jordan Speith win an event? Will Tiger win another major? Will Brooks 3-peat the PGA Championship? Will Rhambo slam a club into the turf? Will a non US player win The Open? Who are you thinking is going to have a breakout season? Who will win the FedEx Cup? My answers; no, no, no, yes, yes, Joaquin Niemann, Justin Thomas. What are your predictions to these and other questions for the 2020 season? sixcat
Responses to the questions posed. Spieth will continue to struggle until he gets back to playing with feel and stops chasing distance. Tiger will contend in Augusta but struggle everywhere else. I don't think he gets #16, ever. A Major at Harding Park will be interesting. The San Francisco Bay area will be cool and damp in May. The odds are certainly against a three-peat for Brooks but I wouldn't count him out. I think a PGA at Harding Park sets up well for someone like Viktor Hovland or Patrick Cantlay. Rahm will take care of that before the end of the West Coast swing! Royal St. George's traditionally favors the underdog. I expect to see a surprise winner there. Lanto Griffin I couldn't care less!!!!! I think 2020 will be remembered for the emergence of the younger crowd. Hovland, Niemann, Wolff, Morikawa, Wise, etc. will win a bunch of tournaments. fixyurdivot, revkev and tony@CIC

Yea, I agree, the "3 Club Tour" has changed the game from a viewing perspective - and not for the better. Still, I really enjoy watching the various tours and televised events. Of course some of this is because the vast majority of other TV shows are an absolute assault to the cranium. vrnyn
I usually only watch the majors and periodically check the leaderboard for some other "big" events. I'd like to see Rickie win a major and Brooks add another. Can probably guarantee Couples shoots even par first round of the Masters and Tiger contends. Would like to see Rory win. Shankster
Usually around this time of year I start to pick the fellas I’m going to follow for the next season. For 2020, I now have Rahmbo with the season to remember. I just have a good feeling that he will break through and win a big one this year. Number 2 on my list is Gary Woodland. He will get it done in a non Major this year, and maybe a few top 5’s in the Majors. Number 3 or 1 rather would be Big Cat winning a major. I really hope he wins a few this year and get back to Number 1. silver & black, HardcoreLooper and tony@CIC
pulledabill
I would be really surprised if Justin Spieth wins again. 4 rounds seems to be a real struggle for him. Watching Tiger in last years Masters, the event in Japan he won, and the President's Cup, I don't see how anybody can say he won't win again or win a major. he is hitting his driver like never before, his irons are spot on (best I've ever seen), and he can putt. I have a feeling he has several wins of some sort in him this year and the youngsters of today will be in complete awe of his ability.
