Feeling black balled

My app will not refresh. And i feel like i cant get anyone to fix it.

I believe the answer has been discussed before. The new website is mobile friendly and the recommendation is to use that instead of the app. For forum use I choose to use tapatalk. Essentially the app is pretty much not supported.

yes, what he said.  With the mobile version of the site giving the same experience as the desktop, there was no reason to have the app version.   

Trust me on this, I was one of the last holdouts on the app until I gave the mobile version a fair trial.  You won't miss the app at al!!

I assume you deleted the app and then restored it? I use the app on my old iPad a good portion of the time. Because I'm using an older generation iPad, the app is actually faster than using the desktop version, however, it is a bare bones version.

While it's true that the mobile site is definitely the best experience, we still want to do the best we can to support all ways people like to experience the forum.  The "MGS" app is a stand-alone offering with our Tapatalk subscription.  Thanks for posting this thread because it prompted me to check for an update to our Tapatalk plugin. 

 

Lo and behold, they released a new version last week.  It's installed.  If you give the app a reboot, does it get better?

Any way to add a dark theme for the mobile browser? All the white makes it tough on the eyes at night (and tough on the phone battery all day)

This is possible. Give me a few days to set it up.

Night mode is available for selection.  Open to suggestion for tweaks so please test it out.  Scroll to the bottom of your page and click "Theme" to make it show as an option

This is great! Thanks @GolfSpy STUDque.  Only thing I have noticed while using the night theme is that the font color is still grey while on a white background when typing in the text editor.  It isn't a problem for me, but it may be for some other users.

@GolfSpy STUDque - I am having an issue when I am using the dark theme....

When I am reading a topic and try to click to the next page, I get a "loading" message and the page never loads. I have to back out to the sub-forum and go back in to the topic get to the next page. I have confirmed this does not happen with the default theme. Am I the only one who experiences this? It happens in Chrome on both my PC and phone.
