fozcycle
I used the Arccoss sensors with my Cobra King F8 full bag review two years ago. I loved the Caddie and the stats. However, I upgraded m6 Apple Watch to the series 3 so I could use it with Arccos......after a couple months, it started locking up on the back nine. Customer Service tried a few things but eventually they “gave up” on me. So I gave up on them. Now I have a Shotscope V2 and am getting used to the pin thing. I find it somewhat difficult to edit the rounds afterward and have not signed off on a few rounds where there was too much editing to do. So far I like it. Peaksy68
I'll be interested to see if the V3 is a bit easier to use and needs less editing. I like the idea of shot tracking, but not if I have to interact with it too much. The Pin collect feature doesn't seem to be too onerous, and I usually take a couple of practice swings, especially when chipping so Shotscope could be an option for me. IIRC, most editing was my own fault cause I kept forgetting to pin collect after putting out. And due to tolerance of GPS coordinates, when when I was on the fairway edge, it would show me in the bunker and vice versa. Apparently, V3 has narrowed down GPS accuracy to 30cm which is good enough for me. This thing can't arrive soon enough! 2 more months! olmryoung
I switched from Arccos to SS because Arccos constantly missed shots from all of my clubs. SS works like a champ and rarely fails to pick up a shot. The Arccos setup was kind of fiddly and I prefer moving around SS tags when swapping clubs. The Arccos UI is better than SS but the SS UI gets the job done well enough. The SS watch is bulky but I dont mind its size. I know the new one is smaller. I prefer having a quick look at the SS on my wrist for distance and I dont like messing with my phone on the course. It's gotta be luck of the draw with these things, because I had Arccos before and didn't like it because it missed shots - sold it and went back to Game Golf. Then Game Golf became a crap-shoot so one of our fellow spies let me demo his Shot Scope and I never got it to work reliably. Got Arccos again and haven't had any issues. It will and you'd still have to wear the watch because it has to be within 10cm/4in of the sensor on the club. But, if @PMookie and @Kanoito don't take the practice swings and it still works, then great, but you still have to wear the watch. It's 33% smaller than the current V2 if that's a concern. Gurra
I use arccos and I really like the app and stats i get. I use a galaxy watch and really love the watch app aswell. I find that the arccos distance is almost always +-2yards of my rangefinder. Since I like many others had battery problems I did end up buying a battery pack for my galaxy s10, sort of a thick mobile case with a usb-c connection that is plugged in the phone at the bottom. It does wear out quite quickly but I do get a full round in on it, however I just put it on and let it charge the phone to 100% and keep it there I might be getting a bit more out of it if I turn it on and then off when the phone is fully charged. With the case, a fully charged phone and a separate powerbank to charge the case when it runs out I guess I could go golfing non stop the entire day lol. revkev
Today made up my mind - I’m pulling the ARCOSS probes and putting the shot scope one back in. It’s the 3rd time that ARCOSS stoped in me mid round - that and bothering playing partners mid round trying to get pin positions accurate is too much of an imposition on a round. Shotscope takes post round time but in many ways I think that helps.I do like the game part handicap breakdowns but it’s not worth it. I’m back on the shotscope train. When I played yesterday, the app froze on me a couple times, but I chalked it up to the fact that I was using an old phone with no sim card since it kills the battery on my Samsung so badly. Maybe there is something else going on? Every time it froze, it eventually worked without me having to try to start over, but I didn't really want to hit a ball while it was frozen since I assumed it would not detect the shot. I honestly think you can't go wrong with either, but I do like the Arccos data presentation a little better. revkev, JohnSmalls and MattF 3 Quote Driver: Epic Speed 9* (set -1) MMT 70X 3W: Tour B JGR Recoil 760ES 3H, 4H: Tour B JGR 19*, 23* Recoil 780ES 4-AW: Tour B JGR HF2 Modus3 Tour 105 SW: RTX Zipcore Black Satin 54* LW: TAIII Black 58* Putter: Scottsdale TR Senita Bag: BigMax Dri Active Lite Ball: TP5x or AVX (yellow) Pushcart: BigMax iQ+ Testing Complete, Final Review Posted: Sub70 TAIII Forged Wedges
MIgregb
I had reliability issues with both Shot Scope and Arccos, I assume because I play mostly morning golf where available light is often an issue. Maybe I could have eventually found a routine whereby I got the shot recorded before moving on, but I felt I was concentrating way too much on that vs golf. Anything that takes my focus off my mediocre game is a problem for me . Nunfa0
The new Shot Scope looks really nice, looks like they've ironed out the creases from the last version and made the product even better MattF and MaxEntropy 2 Quote In my cart Bag: Driver: King F9 9° - LH - Atmos Blue TS 6 Stiff Woods: King F9 - LH - 3/4 Wood - Atmos Blue 7 Reg Z U85 2 Iron Irons: T200 4 Iron AMT White S300 T100S - LH - 3-48* - AMT White S300 Wedges: Indi FLX- LH - 52° 56° 60° - True Temper Spinner Wedge shafts Putter: 2 Bar Hybrid Ball: Pro V1x Testing: Haywood CB/MB Combo Iron Set, 4-7 Cavity backs, 8-PW Muscle Backs, True Temper Dynamic Gold 105 Stiff, 2 Degrees stronger lofts.
