IMO, putting does not impart enough force that would make a difference between a ball that is soft or hard in putting accuracy.  Even with really long putts, accuracy will be determined by how consistently you can make a long stroke.

BTW, most people can feel the difference between a soft or hard ball when putting and that can affect how you putt.  That's why everyone should test golf balls from the green back to the tee to find the ball that performs the best for you; start with putting, then chipping, pitching, irons shots, and lastly the driver.  Changing the type of ball from hole to hole or even between rounds is a recipe for poor scores.  Pick a ball and stick with it.

Kenny one of the reasons I asked was that I recently switched from Chrome soft to Noodles for the winter and immediately started holding putts from all over the only thing I could think of was the hardness of the ball or the fact that the Noodles are Matt neon green.

That's the reason you pick the ball starting at the green.  Some people like a soft ball; some like a firm ball.  You will putt better with the one that feels the best to you.

The question now is Are you giving something else up for better putting?  The Noodle won't spin on approach shots like a Chrome Soft, but if you like longer rollouts, maybe it doesn't matter.  Depending on where you live, you might not get much greenside spin during winter anyway.

Another question is Are you happy with the driver distance?  The Noodle might not fly as far, but you might get more roll.  If distance is less, you might want to keep looking for another ball.  If it's fine, then stick with it.
