Boring .355 to .370

I have a set of .355 heads and I'm considering boring the hosels out to .370 so I can use some .370 pulls that I have.

Pro's / Con's?

Driver: Ping G400 10.5* - stock Alta CB shaft

FW:  Ping G25 7W - Accra RT50 DYMATCH 2.0

Hybrid: Callaway Rogue X 23* - Accra 162H M2

Irons: Callaway Big Bertha 5 - PW - Steelfiber i95

Wedges: Muira 56* K - Steelfiber i110

                Satori 52* - KB Tour

Putter: Ping Ketsch Cadence

Ball: Snell MTB-X

Always use modification of heads as a last resort to club building. If there isn't a 0.355 taper variant to the shafts that you want use (and there probably is) then you have no other option.. Think carefully before proceeding any further.

Long story short - fit components to fit components - never alter components to fit components unless you have no other option.

Just make sure everyone you play golf with wears a helmet. On a serious note, I would strongly advise against modifying the hosel bore to accommodate a parallel shaft.

there is no problem to modifying the hosel to accept the .370 shaft. However, you must ensure the proper bore. If are going to use a drill bit then don't. A reamer or bottom bore bit in a drill press at low speed is the best cleanest way to perform the job. Weather its .355 or .370 the way it attached to the shaft is the same. Check fit and glue.

Driver - 44.5" 5.0 flex 10.5 deg Graphite Design XC 6S GP MCC4+ 1 deg closed

Irons - 5-pw, GW stnd length 5.0 flex same grip 1 deg flat. Type low medium offset cavity back, no diggers

Wedges - 56 and 60 tour grind wedge spinner and mcc4+ grip 2 flat 10 and 8 in bounce

Putter - Makefield VS LH

Ball - truvis

Carried in a Sun Mountain C-130 USA bag - BE PROUD.

HC - LH but 85 is a good number, playing in Ohio.

It can be done without a problem if you possess the skill set.  Other consideration is weight.  You will reduce the weight of head some amount.  That amount may or may not need to be added back depending on the desired final swing weight.  Also, you would be using a cutting oil and oil is not a friend of epoxy.  You will need to clean the hosel very well including the use of a degreaser before installing the shafts.  

I have done this several times in the past and have not had any trouble with clubs breaking.  Besides a .355 hosel was at one point a .370.  The notion that it has become weaker just doesn't hold any weight.
