johnw 4
I have been using Pure grips for a number of years because they are very easy to put on and off with air. romeopapazulu 621
I have found most any brand will go on with air. Grips with cord are a bit tougher, though. I have put a just a little grip solvent in the grip with those and they go on nicely. But then they tend to stick a bit coming off, so my extraction rate with corded grips is much less than 100% 1 Quote G400 LST 8.5 Ping Tour 65 Stiff Adams XTD Ti 18 deg 3Hy Ben Hogan PTx 22-46 Ben Hogan TK15 50, 54, 58 deg wedges Futura 5.

I agree. I've managed to put some Winn grips on for my wife with air, but it's tricky and takes a lot of patience... something that I don't have a lot of when it comes to grips. My wife now plays Pure Wrap in midsize, so all is good. 1 Quote “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”
RI_Redneck 127
If anyone is interested in using leather grips, I have been installing both Master Grip and Best Grip leather grips for years using blue painters tape and air. You just have to be aware of shaft butt diameter and how much tape you want to use. Keep the pressure below 80 lbs and use short bursts through a pointed tip (1/8" hole max) to keep from popping them. If they seem tight when you start, stop immediately, remove the grip and measure the shaft butt. The underlisting is thinner than a normal grip and if you go at it too hard, you will ruin an expensive grip! BT
10shot 107
Not sure air works well with many putter grips. Putter grips are like a masterpiece not all install the same.
Kor.A.Door 5,839
I use it for any and all grips. If they seem to be tough to go on, I just use a little bit of mineral spirits to help it slide better. I only use blue painters tape underneath. 3 Quote Lefties are always in their Right Mind

Kor.A.Door 5,839
I will say, some grips work better than others. The issue I have found with putter grips especially the superstroke is that you can turn the grip by hand for whatever reason. So with putter grips I use some 2-sided tape to help so they don’t move, but that’s just my preference. I use the pure grips air gun so not all the grip ends will fit, but I have another air nozzle that I use for the larger grips. You just have to be careful. I have blown out the cap on the super stroke putter grip trying to remove it. My fix for that is not using superstroke grips anymore. I found something I like better. I prefer using air especially when doing my own stuff, it makes changing or swapping the grips very simple. Quote Lefties are always in their Right Mind
MGoBlue100 2,374
Not sure air works well with many putter grips. Putter grips are like a masterpiece not all install the same. I’ve done all types of normal “rubber” grips, and all the putter grips aren’t really a problem IMO except the Super Stroke. I still go old school tape & solvent with those, as I find it easier, and I’m not planning to remove & reuse those grips anyway. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy Quote "Where'd it go?" Depending on the butt diameter size of putters you may have to use like 2 or 3 layers of tape with a Super Stroke grip. In that case it will not affect the diameter of the finished product. I have not had any problem installing or taking off any Super Stroke with air. Now the newer ones have the metal cap that is removable for the weights. I have not used air on one of them yet. I have been thinking on it and may try to epoxy the cap in and drill the air hole a little larger Since I do not use counter weights on my stuff anyhow. 1 Quote Driver --- TM M-6 Evenflow 5.5 R 45 gr--- 4W Adams Tight Lies 16* Bassara 55g R flex-- 5W Adams Tight Lies 19* Bassara 55g R Flex--- Irons 5 thru PW Taylor Made TP CB ( 2018) Steelfiber I 95 R Flex--- GW Callaway X Jaws CC 52* stock steel shaft--- SW Cleveland 588 56* S-400--- Putter Scotty Santa Fe Bulls Eye Fluted shaft "Rusty" Bag Old School Jones Classic

mooremikea 448
I put all of my grips on using air. Putting some grip solvent in the end right before install really helps. It gives you a little bit of time after the grip is on to do some small adjustments to alignment. The downside is you can't play with the club right away. 2 Quote Driver - Ping G410 Plus 10.5 - Ping Tour 65 Stiff 4 Wood - Callaway Rogue - Project X Evenflow blue 6.0 Hybrids - Titleist 818 H2 - 3(c-1) and 4(c-4) - Tensei CK Blue 70 stiff Irons - Callaway Apex CF 16 5-AW - True Temper XP 95 Steel Stiff Wedges - Ping Glide 54 SS, 58 TS Putter - Edel e1 Torque balanced Indianapolis 5.5 Index
