Going to find a quality used driver. Lots of guys at the course  game varius TMs and seem to love them. A few issues but satisfied. Club pro says stay away from TM as he sends more TM back than any other OEM.

Any truth to this? He is a Titleist guy.

I am/was a long time Titleist user and just switched to an M5 driver this season. No issues for me.

I haven't heard of anyone sending any TM drivers back at my club this season, I do know they sold quite a few.

All brands with carbon fiber heads have trouble. Cubs get banged around, dropped, slammed, etc and some will get broken. I’ve had several m1/2 heads and never had an issue

I have an M5 and absolutely love it. I previously had an epic flash that I ended up returning because it just wasn’t super consistent. No such problem with the M5!

Take care of your clubs and they'll last you a long time. Keep them out of extreme temps and keep those drivers under the headcover. It's a simple formula to make clubs last season after season regardless of brand.

Every TaylorMade product I've owned over the years has been great.  I can't speak for the new drivers, but I'm confident that they are every bit as good as the competition, at least for me anyway.

I recently went back to their RBZ 3W and 3H/5H and they blow anything I have used for the past few years out of the water.  I really don't know why I ever quit playing them... glad I kept them.  They are in my bag again.

Your clubs last more than one season, they just spend those following seasons with other golfers 😆

I have heard the rumors that about TM has quality problems. I do know their customer service is as good as any others as my neighbor had a problem and he received a replacement quickly.

My golf budget does not allow me new drivers so  I would be buying used.  Doubt that they would back an used M2 or M4.

I was just looking at a fitting from a year and a half ago where I tested new drivers. The M4 with a Paderson shaft had all five shots right on the fairway with 10 yards more carry (281) then the next closest (270), M4 with a Devotion shaft, the dispersion with the Devotion was 40 yards wide, yet the fitter recommended the Devotion. The ONLY benefit was in spin. Makes me wonder sometimes...

Spin is your friend to an extent. If spin is too low a bad shot becomes unplayable as it will knuckle and fall out of the sky. Too much and it balloons. Optimizing distance with spin and launch has more long term benefits than pure distance based on launch monitors.

Yeah, wasn’t wondering about spin, I was wondering why-in-the world the recommendation was not the best performing driver of the bunch.... Doesn’t make sense that the fitter made a choice that wasn’t the best.

Without seeing your numbers he’s probably looking at spin, launch, descent angle and going with what’s going to be more realistic and playable on the course.
