Matsubaum
Vincent Sturbaum - Henderson, NV - I play year round Sprinkler heads, course yardage markers, cart GPS if available or ask people with hand held device people get to dependent on technology, lose the feel needed to really make good shots. I feel technology should provide confirmation on what you feel and what your brain is telling you. That being said, it is nice to know distances to hazards, lay up areas, carry over water, etc. All the things tour pro caddies provide, without slowing play down. bfleck69
I had used the sky caddie 2.5 but lost it in November. I currently use fairway markers. I think this technology would save me time during my round. It would eliminate walking to markers and then walking off the distance to my ball. Thank you for the opportunity to use an upgraded model. I am located in Central Pennsylvania.

Barry
Barry Lipnitzky, Columbia, SC Yardage book (if available), course markers and landmarks, pacing, course familiarity I'm a traditionalist, but have tried a couple of now obsolete devices in the past. I hate all golf tech, including any "game improvement" equipment. I own over 20 sets of vintage forgings, a few classic persimmon woods, as well as some old putters and wedges. The game of golf today is not golf - it's devolving into some kind of long distance competition requiring less and less skill and increasing reliance on tech aids of all sorts. I 'm an 80+ yr old retired computer systems engineer and amateur club maker who lives on a golf course. I've already given in to newer balls and metalwoods, but don't know my current distances. Perhaps this device can change my mind.

dgrodier
Dan from South Jersey. I typically use the on-course fairway markers and pace off from there. I think fully embracing technology is how golf will attract younger audiences and participants and will grow in the future.

bikepro43
Name and Location Jeff Montague; Grand Rapids, MI How do you currently get your yardages? Hunting for sprinkler heads that haven't lost their marker How do you feel about technology's relationship with golf? Technology has it's place. I like approximating my yardage and going with what feels right, but knowing the actual number on an unfamiliar course or having something to confirm the mark you find when you don't trust what it says and what it's feeling like would definitely give more confidence and allow more focus in those situations. radio13gm
Name and Location - Joshua / Ventura, CA How do you currently get your yardages? Telephone-based App. How do you feel about technology's relationship with golf? Technology has improved every aspect of game. Clubs have made me longer and more accurate than when I was in my 20's. The GPS app takes the guess-work out of yardages. The only issue with phone-based apps is their occasional inaccuracy. I can be standing on the 150 plate in the middle of the fairway and my phone will say I'm 138 to the center. For a single-digit handicap that variance is a round killer. To be able to test the SkyCaddie on my home course and against my current app would be a true test of the device's performance. I hope to be chosen.
