The most recent nuance is long left thumb vs. short. I didn't even know this was a thing. I have always used a long left thumb and i have noticed that it tends to cause my left wrist to cup pretty much no matter what and overhinging of the wrists. I think the short left thumb will help, from dry swings, its getting me to a better position at the top. For me, having a short left thumb makes a stronger right hand grip very uncomfortable. Actually has been something I've been more focused on lately as I continuing to strengthen my right hand grip some. I tend to quickly revert to a very weak right hand grip unless I'm adamantly focusing on it during setup. cnosil 1 Quote Unofficial WHS Handicap: 7.5 / Anti-Cap: 13.0 (Last Updated Feb. 19, 2024) Driver: Callaway Paradym TD (10.5°, -1/N), 45.75", Fujikura Motore X F1 6X | Fitting Post 3 Wood: Cobra RadSpeed Big Tour (14.5°), 43", Fujikura Motore X F1 7X 20° Hybrid: PXG 0211 (2020 Model), 40.25", Mitsubishi Tensei AV RAW White 90X 4 Utility: Cobra KING Utility (2020 Model), 38.5", Aerotech SteelFiber i110cw Stiff 5-PW: Ben Hogan PTx Pro, 37" 7 Iron, Aerotech SteelFiber i125cw Stiff | Club Champion Fitting 50°, 54°, 58°: Edel SMS, V Grind, Nippon Modus 125 Wedge| Official Review Thread Putter: L.A.B. aerospace_ray
Have Brandel Chamblee book, read it several times. Actually enjoy his comments regarding golf swing. However I partially disagree with strong grip for all. Each person has their own unique hand size, shape, etc. The world of golf is full of examples in which many grip styles are used successfully. I prefer whatever is comfortable with caveat that a golfer has to return club square at impact. If a strong grip does this then fine but I would rather see a golfer invest some time learning ball flight laws and how club face at impact affects flight of the golf ball. I personally prefer neutral grip and alter ball/feet position to execute my desired shot. I love how the strong grip feels, I just cannot control clubface through impact. Maybe you can. Each golfer is unique. Sent from my SM-N960U using MyGolfSpy mobile app Rickp
