Ask GB13 about being in first place for the season. The playoffs are what matter.

Yeah, I know 🤣

This has to be one of the more stressful leagues in terms of do you drop someone to get through a week or go with what you have for hopes of a long term

I don’t wanna talk about it! 😆🤣

I’m trying to totally set my team up for the playoffs this year, although I have to actually make the playoffs first.. 😬

Agreed.  I'm actually quite happy with the mechanics of the league right now.  Despite the best ball format, there's still tough decisions to be made week-to-week and more teams have a chance to have a good team.  I also think the leaderboard-based scoring is perfect for a league this size; keeping players from hiding behind the matchup schedule and rewarding those who ball out handsomely.  Unfortunately the way information is displayed leaves much to be desired so I hope that gets fixed sooner rather than later.

I have to be honest, being 20 minutes late for the draft of this league (I will remind my son of this for the next 20 years) has really caused me to already lose interest in this league. Some people have very strong teams and I don't really have anybody due to the auto-draft format. Just sucks. When I have done fantasy golf in the past it's been more of a daily/weekly fantasy where you pick a new stable of golfers every week (with limitations on how many times you can pick players etc). I prefer that format because you get to use different players instead of being "stuck" with the same ones.

Oh well. My fault. Thanks for all the hard work you guys do in setting this league up, I know it's not easy.

The layout isn't great but I have found it easy enough to navigate around see how the teams are doing. Overall it's been a lot of fun and it's nice to know how much one good week can mean in the big picture. Pretty sure I moved up 17spots and have new life.

Just saying, one of our league semi-finalists last year missed the draft and would've made the championship had he set a lineup.  With the right pickups, you'll be fine.  Heck, Nick Taylor was only owned by one of us last week and he was a Wednesday waiver add.  Unlike other sports, the golf draft is not the end all be all.

I sent you a trade offer. We can see if we can help get you rejuvenated for the league. Feel free to counter if you like.

I was the only one who owned him? Hopefully I can make that kind of pickup every week. Oh and he cost me $0 of my FAAP money!

As Stud said, you can actually be quite competitive in this league. Sure you may not have the super stars some teams do but that also means you're tied to less players.

You don't have to hold on to guys who aren't playing that week. Instead you can move things around to ensure your lineup is full. Starting 6+ guys every week is a massive advantage on a weekly basis.

Hell this is the first week I've had 5 and also the first week I haven't been looking for number 3/4.

Gotta try to help people stay involved. It is a pet peeve of mine when people quit and don’t keep up with their team.

No sympathy from me.  I spent lots of time pre-planning my draft order/picks, participated in the draft, spent more time filling out the roster.  One of my players won the WM and recorded an ace.  This past weekend I had 3 or my 4 make the cut.  All this effort and we're only 5 positions apart 🙃.

I'm went back and revised my winning formula, adding ratios and where to focus my efforts... which tells me the outcome is largely beyond my control.

0.10 [plays lots of events] + 0.10 [makes lots of cuts] + 0.10 [often among the top 20 finishers] + 0.70 [boat load of luck] = MGS Golden Ticket 🤗

I have tried, I just very inexperienced in this. I am not totally sure of the mechanics.

Hopefully I didn't come across as a jerk with my statement. It is more obvious in football when somebody is injured and still in a starting lineup. Golf is definitely a bit harder compared to football.

The biggest thing to remember in a league this big with this type of format is you are never out of it. The top 30 make the playoffs after a LONG season. Plus every week has 59 wins possible so 1 or 2 hot weeks and last place can become 1st place and vice versa.

Just to be clear, the system auto selects the top four ranked players on our roster and in the field for each event - and there is no option to change that line-up?

Correct it will automatically take the top 4 scorers on your team for the weeks event. Not necessarily the top 4 position wise. Basically the 4 best scores count. I'm not sure why you would want to change it but I don't believe you can.
