This was in an article on one of the golf sites today. Pretty good info, by club too!!! Good to have as a reference when playing in different temperatures.

Tomorrow is my wife's birthday.  She just informed me that we are playing golf with some friends of ours.  OK, looked up the weather forecast for Saturday... high 34, low 31 cloudy with wind 2-3 mph.

40 and no wind is....ok. But if you are in a cart it will feel much colder. Walking briskly and wearing layers keeps most of you warm. an air warmer in your mitt and breathable waterproof socks a

It would have to be 175 degrees before I could hit a drive 250 anymore 😄 😄

I played last week. First day the course has been open in almost 3 weeks.

Couldn’t push a tee into the ground, frozen. Hit the front of the green from 153, it bounced 15 feet in the air and ran off the back.

That was the second hole. I knew from then on it was just a play day, enjoy the 50 weather. Good thing, I couldn’t get off my back foot all day long. Slices and pulls.

It was still nice to get out

They lifted the frost delay at noon today, but it was still less than 40....might have played, but we're expecting high winds with gusts from 35-40 mph...no thanks 🙂  I'm retired...I don't have to play in cold, wet, windy conditions 🙂

You’re looking at it wrong. Instead of saying “ I don’t have to play in this weather”, you say, “I get to play in this weather.”

I used to live in Michigan, so now down here in SC I don’t care what the temps are, if the course is open I’m there. I understand though, not everyone is as tough (or stupid in this case) as me😁

Going to be 38’-40’ Monday & Tuesday mornings, decision time. Wind speed will be decisive factor.

Played one hole Monday at 40’ then breakfast.
Felt a little “Pop” in my right shoulder that I had rotator cuff surgery last year so obviously it’s telling me something.
38’ this morning and not going out until this afternoon.
Talked to my buddy in Myrtle Beach this morning and it was 28’ at his house. Nope....

38-40? That's almost shorts weather here. With no wind and sunshine I'd be thinking to running to the course for 18.

You’re right, when we lived in New England that was Shorts/Tee Shirt weather.

Played today in Pueblo, Co at a new-to-me course, Desert Hawk. Although the temps were supposed to reach the low 50’s it might have reached 40 or 41.

The saving grace? No wind. It was fairly comfortable with a tee, long sleeve half zip, and wind shirt.
