Find Local Golf Events Near Me?

Anyone have any suggestions for how to find local social golf events (night golf, scrambles, skins games etc)?

Based in Los Angeles but asking more generally.

Most of the courses around here have a schedule online or on their bulletin boards for events. Also on GHIN, our District golf assoc. had a listing along with the ability to enter local tournaments. Not sure if the new app has that feature - but it's worth a look.

Sign up for emails from the various courses;  I get emails from my local courses that announce golf events.

Through my many travels it seems the local groups always have the preferred Tee Times at just about every course. The pro shop is usually a great source for points of contact for these groups schedule 6 months to a year out. New blood seems to always be welcome.
