Sluggo42
Sand shots from green side bunkers for me. My up and downs are much better of late, even sank one the other day. Overall putting would be #2. not fairway bunkers tho... what specifically are you doing better of late? Without question it is my long game—from 150 to 180 yards. As a result of the PING long game fitting, i was fit into a 7w, 9w and 5,6 hybrid. bens197
Mental game. Sean Foley is someone I’ve heard about but never really studied. I’ve been reading a lot about him and his approach; his language and delivery on the mental side speaks to me. perseveringgolfer
Driver and Putting- both improved exponentially by the ebay purchase of an untested, unfitted driver and putter- go figure, just got lucky I guess. Trying to get a chipping lesson sorted with the pro, if I could chip I'd be dangerous but I still fat and thin around the greens, it's soul destroying. CarlH
I'd have to say that the practice I've done with chipping and short pitches has really paid off the most. I had lost confidence with my short game awhile back and worked with a teaching pro and practiced a lot to rediscover that feel and touch giving me confidence to comfortably pull off a decent shot. This has been my biggest improvement of late. But, it's still a work in progress, as is most of my game. PlaidJacket
I guess I'll have to say chipping. In the last month that is. My irons/approaches lately have sucked. I've been all around the edges. But when one part fails you make it up another way and carry on. SteddyGolf
Club selection has been my biggest improvement. I basically changed my approach from firing at the pin to always going for the back of the green. While some shots do end up a bit long for the most part I found myself with an increased number of short manageable putts. This approach also reduced the amount of time I spend on the beach. GB13
I’d say my chipping for sure, mainly thanks to advice given to me by @Shankster. Just a couple of pointers on setup and some good practice and I’m much more confident in my ability to get up and down. Otherwise, my putting and iron game has slightly improved, while my off the tee has regressed.
