AboveParTarheel
Any members still use or can’t get rid of an old classic putter regardless of all the new tech? I’d all but given up on blade putters until I snagged this old putter for less than $5. After practicing with it all winter I’m really thinking of purchasing another blade putter this coming week while on vacation in NC. Maybe a Cameron Newport, Bettinardi BB-1or Ping Vault Anser. Let’s see what you’ve kept around or are still gaming.
Alf. S
I've tried loads of putters over the years and moved them on, but I keep coming back to an old Taylor-Made Rossa Monza circa 2006. The o ther old favourite is an brass milled Yasuda that I've had about 30 years. My latest purchase was a TM Spider Tour X but it is now in the garage. 2 Quote WIMB Driver Callaway Epic 10.5' Fujikura Stiff 3W Callaway Epic 15' Fujikura Stiff 3-AW Srixon Z565 Nippon Stiff 52', 56' Cleveland RTX 585 Wedges Putter Taylormade Rosa Daytona Bags 2017 Callaway Org14 Cart bag or 2018 Srixon Z start Carry bag

BIG STU
I am here!!!! Too bad I can't do pics anymore old putters you say? How many gigabytes or what ever does MGS have? NRJyzr saw your Mills. I had always wanted a Mizuno TP Mills #2 and Christmas week I did a trade deal for one. Have a plethora of Spalding TP Mills. Ok in the last 3 weeks I found 2 other vintage putters on the piles A Otey Chrisman Calamity Jane Bobby Jones style with original hickory shaft and Neuman leather grip in pristine shape someone had this one put up but it somehow ended up on the scrap pile. A Macgregor IM 5 Ironmaster reproduction with the green shaft. When I first spied it I thought I had hit my holy grail which would be a 49 Ironmaster with the green pyratone shaft. It had enough rust on the head. The shaft has me puzzled it seems to be graphite but stiff as rebar . Now it was sorta rusty but cleaned up nicely with elbow grease and Bar Keepers Friend. Has the original Macgregor Neuman leather grip on it too and it cleaned up nice. This putter is a puzzle to me> I have seen quite a few on E - Bay but none with that shaft. NRJyzr--- I have a Ram Gene Littler which looks like a cross between your 2 Ram putters----- I am a sucker for 8802 styles but believe it or not do not have a Wilson 8802 in my stash. The closest thing I have is an old Cleveland Designed by and a Little David 8802. I even have 3 Lynx versions including a newer Black Cat with the insert. I traded for the Black Cat a couple of weeks ago believe it or not I traded an old Ram Zebra and a Zebra look alike Harley Davidson branded putter for it. Ironmasters I have a bunch of in different versions and years but do not have that unicorn 49 with the green shaft. i more than likely have over 100 putters but hands down when it is on the line I love the rusty lead taped Scotty in my signature which by the way is a junk pile find too. One of the Scotty experts on WRX dated it as a 1997 vintage One other thing I forgot I have about 10 Bulls Eyes from all vintages and have more than likely given away 20 or more Edited February 1, 2020 by BIG STU 5 Quote Driver ---- Callaway Big Bertha Alpha Speeder 565 R flex---- 3 wood TM V-Steel Aldila 65G R Flex 15*--- 7 Wood TM V-Steel UST Pro Force 65 R flex 21*---- 9 wood TM V-Steel stock MAS Stiff shaft 24*--- Irons 4 thru 9 Mac Muirfield TT black label --- PW Vokey SM-4 51* stock shaft--- SW Vokey SM 5 L grind 58* stock shaft--- Putter -- Rusty Scotty Santa Fe fluted Bulls Eye shaft---. aerospace_ray
Yes I have a few that should my putting stroke be clicking on all cylinders I could easily play with money on the line. Couple of Be_Cu Pings and a Spaulding TP Mills #12 with fluted shaft and a Danny Edwards Pebble Grain Royal Grip. Never ever found one putter -- new today and/or old that feels as good to me as that Mills #12. But again its my putting stroke mechanics i guess which I will admit the newer putters help me with consistency. But for maybe one round, one day all clicking, yes I will would not hesitate turning back the clock for one of my old putters.

ballplayer002003
It's funny, I get new clubs every few years or so. Maybe a new driver or new irons etc. When I get the new clubs, whatever they are I tend to sell my old ones. However, when I get a new putter, I NEVER get rid of the old ones. Don't know why. I guess I just love looking at them. So, I could game all of my old putters. I have an old Titleist/Scotty that was my first "BIG" purchase 20 years ago, two other Scotty's, a Ping Anser, and a few Bettinardi's. Love them all! 1 Quote Driver: Epic Flash Sub Zero Hzdrs Smoke x flex 70g 3 Wood: 917 w/ Diamana Whiteboard stiff 5 Wood : Epic Flash 18* Hzdrs Smoke stiff 4 Hybrid: TSi3 Hzdrs Smoke X flex Irons: 5-7 Apex forged 19 w/ Modus 120 X 9-A Apex Pro 19 w/ Modus 120 X Wedges: MD5 52&56 Jaws Dynamic Gold wedge flex Putter: Scotty Cameron Phantom 5.5 34"
Granata13
My “old” putter I can’t get rid of, isn’t really that old, 7 years to be exact. I have tried to find something better but can’t. It’s a Ping Nome TR, from 2013, the black one that was the precursor to the Ketsch. I tried another putter earlier this year, A Scotty Cameron x5. I had practiced with it a bunch and felt comfortable with it. On the 8th hole I had a 4’ left to right sliding putt for par. I went through my routine get over the ball and look down and the only thought in my head was, “where is my Ping”. I won’t be trying another putter for a while, and of course I missed the putt.
