A Tiger-less field in Mexico this year. Are we ready for 400 yard drives at altitude? Me personally, I’d like to see this event somewhere else, could be in still, just a better venue for viewers.

I’m picking the hometown favorite, Mr. Ancer.

Could/should this be the Premier League?

Think we might see a new venue sooner than later as Tiger is not the only big name staying home.

I’ll be pulling for Ancer here, although I’d love to see Jordan get a win too.

Hoping for a good showing by Zach Murray, a 22 yo Aussie. He got into the field by winning the New Zealand Open last year. His dad was my brothers best mate in high school, and his grandfather was my first football coach.

He'd be a 'home town' hero for that! After this past week's Top Pro debacle I can't get my head around anyone else.

For once I’ll agree. I just don’t know if he (JS) has the drive like he used to?

I think the drive is there, otherwise he wouldn’t be as frustrated as he is with the state of his game. I think he just needs to get the mental block of “the weekend” out of the way because his game is mostly there on Thursday and Friday. If he can put together a week with two good weekend rounds whilst in contention, I think he’ll be back to his winning ways sooner than later.

Webb Simpson for the win with Rafa Cabrera Bello and CH3 tied for second.  Hey, it could happen 🙂.

Keeps the correct moisture in the greens for the exact Stimp speed he's trying to practice.

Bryson is golfs version of Bill "Spaceman" Lee!  Wouldn't be surprised if the elicit substances weren't as much of a factor with Bryson as they were with Spaceman.

It strikes me that this event/venue is a good example of what every tournament could look like in several years if the ball keeps going farther and farther...

My high school baseball coach faced Lee dozens of times when he played for the Giants, Dodgers and Braves.  My next door neighbor when I was a small kid played with Lee in Montreal.  Two of my high school teammates were Charlie Manual and Tony LaRussa's nephews.  Charlie Manual's brother was my middle school baseball and basketball coach.

My high school coach is the one on the far left.

Awesome
I moved this over to the Randon Thread, we’re off to meet “Oil Can” Boyd tonight and retired pitcher Sam McDowell will be there.
