About 2 years after I started playing (15 or 16 years ago) I was in the market for a 3 wood, and after doing a fair amount of research I settled on a Bang-O-Matic 15 degree, because at the time it was the only 3 wood available that was pure titanium. Many still are made of stainless today. I've updated the shaft and still carry it because it's about the same head size as any club available today, and I'm convinced it's probably almost as hot as any newer brand. Good memories, plus I was actually young strong and pretty back then. Many drives over 300 with that thing. Still have it around and now that I have a Mizuno ST180 I have a "trinity" of Primary Color drivers with those and my Wilson Deep Red. I remember those old SMT's mentioned above as well, I always wanted an O2 because of it's rust color and the no scorelines. I've thought about pulling the tip on one of these shafts laying around and putting the head on one of those to play around with for some giggles.
