Electric Walking Carts

Great to hear you are back to walking again with your electric cart. Unfortunately, I will out of commission for 4+ weeks. Had to have a medical procedure! It's a bummer, but with the heat being around 95 everyday I am OK to miss a few weeks.

... Dam sorry to hear that. But if you have to be laid up, middle of the winter/summer is probably best case scenario. I hope you get back to normal quickly.

I like the looks of that cart.  Doesn’t look bulky, simple.  Price seems decent as well.

From what I can tell though we cannot get those in the US 😞

I picked up a used Carttec 3 years ago.  I have had questions and user errors, low remote battery .  Called the manufacture they walked me through what I needed to do.  Were very helpful.  I don't have a lithium battery so it is heavy, but is a work horse .  My Course has a high hill on 1 & 10 it handles it with no problem.  Would recommend

My golf buddy just picked up an MGI from costco. He went straight from carrying to this, and he loves it. I have a Kangaroo, and if I had seen the MGI first, I would have bought the MGI.

I absolutely love mine, my health is better from walking. Just waiting on some fall weather and will be playing a lot more golf.

Love it.  How did you attach the sand bottle? Or was that a click gear attachment.  I’ve got a Bag Boy Quad and have always felt guilty for not taking a sand bottle.

Yeah, it’s a click gear accessory, but if your cart has that little button, I bet it would work. The cooler bag underneath is also a clic gear accessory. My speaker and Garmin gps are mounted using a caddie buddy (caddiebuddy.com) clamp. They hav3 a variety of attachment heads for different items like belt clips and go pro Camera screws etc... they are really well made and can be rotated into virtually any position or clamp onto almost anything without slipping. Mine are around 3-4 years old and work like new. Neoprene rubber grips on the inside area that grabs onto any surface.

I got my eWheels V2 last weekend and took it out on Sunday. It was the most fun and easy going round I've had walking since using a caddie. My back has never felt better after walking. Been carrying with a Hyperlite Zero most of the year. My home course has a lot of uphills holes 15-17 and it was getting rough pushing a cart.

I have it hooked up to a BagBoy Tri-Swivel II and it rolled so easy and has pretty much a 0 turn radius. I tested the limits of the slopes it could handle, took quite a bit for it to fall back on the wheelie bars.

Don't have pics or video on the course. This is just me testing it out in my backyard:

Do the Alphard or the MGI Zip Navigator have easy disconnect to let the wheels free-wheel?  In AZ in the winter, I connect the handle of my push cart to the rear rack on my bicycle, and I pedal to the course with my cart trailing behind me.  I'd love to get a remote electric cart, so the freewheel setting & convenience is important.

... ZIP has a wheel disconnect. You press the tab and pull out a little until it locks into free wheel mode. Still not an easy push though with 2 motors so not sure how it would roll behind a bike.

Mission Royale down in Casa Grande. It’s a nice everyday layout that’s suffering in condition under the care of the current operator.  But it’s in our development and it’s very walkable.

The MGI Zip Naviagator All Terrain is definately the way to go. It has excellent control with the remote and the battery life is better than others. I know in Australia lots of people have this buggy and love it.

They can be purchased in Australia from Hillside Golf Buggies

Are you by any chance an employee or owner of Hillside?  I ask because of the photo in your profile.

If you turn off the power to the Alphard EWheels, it is in free wheel mode.

GaDawg ... i used a electric cart for 25 years & my last 6 walking seasons with a Kangaroo cart and the cart was a absolute tank that would go pretty much anywhere and i only had minimal problems , the only detriment was the price , $2100.00 but otherwise if i was still walking i would be still using the Kangaroo .

All -

I started this thread back in late February and decided to purchase the MG1 Zip Navigator several weeks ago. Due to the virus, the walking cart has been in my garage until this weekend. I walked 18 holes both Saturday and Sunday using my cart. I am not sure I will ever ride again unless it's on a vacation and I don't have my walking cart with me. I really enjoyed my round so much more and the exercise was great! The MG1 cart was fantastic, especially using the remote control. The first day, I used my normal golf shoes with spikes and wore spikeless shoes on Sunday. It was the same course and believe the spikeless shoes are going to be the right way to go. It was sooo much better than carrying my clubs or even pushing a cart, which I have done on a few occasions.

... Just an FYI but I forgot to charge my ZIP after playing 2 rounds. I thought I had only played one round but realized I had 2 fun rounds with one charge. I had some yellow bars so figured I would use it til it died and bum a ride with my playing pard when it did. I was a little shocked that it lasted the entire 18 holes. One last red bar at the end but made it to my car. So one charge and 54 holes with the ZIP battery. Just amazing.

As usual, I am late to this party, but I just pulled the trigger on the BatCaddy X8R.  Can't wait for it to arrive!

It comes standard with the rear wheel stabilizers, cup-holder, umbrella, etc.  I also got the seat, and basically every option possible :-)
