Evenflow anyone?

That’s not really a shaft issue but a swing issue. A shaft may help with better delivery but unless one has a shaft that is just a terrible fit the shaft won’t have nearly the influence people expect

Absolutely! Same reason I switched and turned down my Ping g400LST from 9.5.   Wanted less height.

I tried a Green Smoke in my Driver and I didn't get on with it. Played an Evenflow Riptide but went up to an X Flex because I head it can be a little whippy.. I have played about 5 rounds with it and it has caused me to maintain a good pace throughout my swing. I can still step on it if I need to but I am really enjoying this shaft.

I currently have the Evenflow Blue in my PXG Gen 1 0811X driver. It is a nice shaft.

I have the evenflow blue in my Cobra F8 driver, 3W and 5W.  Love the feel during the swing.  As always, get fitted to make sure it fits your swing.

Update since 5/13. 
 

This stat is with me playing the Evenflow Black 65 6.5 and I’m relatively happy. It is not the best dispersing shaft I’ve ever played but it makes up for it with a penetrating flight and a lovely feel. It hasn’t been bad enough for me to put the Hzrdus Yellow back in the bag.  More updates as the season evolves.

Having played both shafts there is a better feel in the ef blue compared to hzrdus yellow. I liked the blue other than days where I was quick in transition, then I could feel the boardiness in the shaft.

For me the dispersion was more based on head. With the ping g400 and hzrdus yellow unless I pulled the shot the left side of the course wasn’t a factor. With the blue and my preference with the fade in a titleist head I had a tendency to push the ef blue setup and in testing with a TM and ping the tendency was similar.

The LST 400 head has been the constant for me and with that, the Hzrdus has a better dispersion. What I really like about the EF is it has a better loading feel. While that’s all subjective, when you feel good you certainly can play good.

The TE CBX 119 hybrid has been the best club in my bag, so much so that I tried and eventually bought the CBX 119 3 wood.  Both with the Evenflow Blue, and I absolutely love it.  Better feel for me and better results than the HZRDOUS line.

Agree. I’ve mentioned in other threads that PX didn’t account for feel at all in their design of the hzrdus shafts and it was all based on performance. 
 

When I was there it was before the evenflow blue and black came out and they said with that like the kept the focus on performance but accounted for feel

... Have you hit the Tensei Pro Orange? I would think it might be a nice fit for you combining the best of the Even Flow Black and Hzrdus Yellow. Extremely stiff tip but a smooth feel which is a very unique combination.

I have not but I completely agree with what you’re saying. It would fit what I’m looking for in feel and performance.  The EF was an affordable way for me to dabble and compare against my stock. 
 

I’d like to keep my G400 LST for another two seasons and then upgrade at that point. Frankly, if I were to buy any more golf gear this season my wife would change the locks.

I'd actually like to try a red Evenflow 6.0. I think I would have something, or some yards, to gain going to a higher launching shaft. I'm putting an F9 together this week from some eBay work I did, and I'm going to try the Golfworks / Grafalloy Prolaunch GWX shaft, which they are claiming is a slightly higher launching, reduced spin shaft. We'll see. New driver, new shaft, should be fun.

Glad I found this. Super hybrid I found has evenflow black and was looking for a comparison to the orange. Guess I wait for one in Orange to pop up

I have the Tensei Orange in the Super Hybrid. A great shaft! Smooth, easy to load, and provides a nice piercing flight. 

Callaway preowned has a collection.... might be able to find a better price elsewhere.

I will second this - the Tensei PO in the Super Hybrid is really, really smooth. I seem to get along with most of MRC's profiles, though.

Thanks. I was hoping to get the full package and not pay extra for a shaft.  May look into it for a driver though (although the pro 2.0 is pretty solid now).

Recently discovered a crack in my G400 LST at the hosel. Sent it back to ping and ping thankfully replaced it with a G410 LST but used a even flow black 6.5 75G. 

Hopping to get out soon to get some swings in and see how the club suits me nervous and excited at the same time.

@wowski_golf This is an old thread, but how did the EFB in the G410 3W work out?  I play an EFW in driver, and am trying to decide between black and white in the 3W, and was curious how you would compare what you felt between the two in the fairway woods?

@SocalbonziThe EFW T100 is better than EFB IMO.  I found the butt section in the EFB too soft and would loose where head & Face were in swing as my transition tends to get quick and I am a stronger "hitter" type of player.

I had an Evenflow white and blue at one point on my driver and loved them both, they were very smooth. Eventually went in for a shaft fitting and went with the Ventus. It was well worth the cost. As others have said though, fitting is extremely important.

Had the Evenflow Blue on my Rogue driver, I liked it alright- was likely more of a me issue than anything else. The biggest disappointment however was thinking I had finally figured it out (no major mishits, 13/18 fairways and PR on the most difficult local course) the shaft snaps at the flex point on my first swing the next time out.

I have a Green shaft in my Epic Flash, which I really like.  Smooth tempo, 100-105 velocity.  I hit it really high, but I have always done that.  I have a black 75G stiff shaft sitting here waiting on me to get to the range to try it out and see if the lower launch, lower spin models help with that.

 

I like the shaft, though.
