Yeah, I just bought those Callaway RazrX's from a friend, and they only went to 6 iron, so I opted to give Ben Hogan a try as this utility 24° looks great, and at $95 with the shaft and grip I wanted, I couldn't pass it up, even compared to other options in the same category. After I test it out on the range I'll post my thoughts on how it hit. Mr. 82
I hit about 50 or 60 balls with this club at the range tonight and I got pretty good results with it, as distance and trajectory were good, and when I put a good swing on it it goes straight as an arrow. I was able to work it left to right and right to left when I put a good swing on it. I got better results with it when I teed it up on the range, as the grass on this range offered very tight lies, so it was hard to get the club underneath the ball this way. Kinda like hitting on hard pan every time. I'll be interested in how I hit it at my home course at Kinderlou, as they have the best driving range anywhere, and we hit off of overseeded Rye grass that is perfect. But so far I am happy with the purchase, and pretty confident that it is a good replacement for my 5 iron.
