RickyBobby_PR
Maybe. Putters today are based on the original anser. Some will tell you nothing beats a scotty and others will say scottys are garbage and everything between those two sentiments. like any piece of equipment it’s up to the person that’s going to use it to determine if they will notice a difference, be worth the price, is it better than something else and so on. I haven’t rolled anything new in the last 2-3 years from ping or Callaway and haven’t rolled a toulon since they merged with Callaway. I went back to scotty and the np2 or similar style head is my preference. I do like the 2016 m1 if not playing an np2. I want a fan of the inserts in the scottys but the 2018 version was much better than previous and from what I hear the new select line without the insert is really good. berkeleybob and PMookie 2 Quote Driver: PXG 0811 X+ Proto w/UST Helium 5F4 Wood: TaylorMade M5 5W w/Accra TZ5 +1/2”, TaylorMade Sim 3W w/Aldila rogue white Hybrid: PXG Gen2 22* w/AD hybrid Irons: PXG Gen3 0311T w/Nippon modus 120 Wedges: TaylorMade MG2 50*, Tiger grind 56/60 Putter: Scotty Caemeron Super Rat1 Ball: Titleist Prov1 Link to comment

Would that Cameron be “better” from a feel or performance perspective? You are the only person that can judge that. When I first started being a putter junkie I went down the Cameron route, now that I am more knowledgeable about putting and putters Cameron is just another putter and really isn’t anything special. silver & black
I've rolled a few Scotties, and I don't honestly think they feel or work any better than the EVNRoll that I use. fozcycle
A friend noticed I was toeing up lately. My Evnroll ER6 is not flat on the bottom. Be that as it may, I switched to a SC Kombi. Thinking more about it, I reached into my closet and pulled out my old Slotline Inertia, Slotline SSI, Nike Method Core, Ping Ketsch(original) and Bellam- Winmore blade. I spent the better part of an afternoon practicing to see which was the easiest and best to putt with flat on the ground.I decided to try the Ketsch for awhile. It rests flat and rolls smooth. chisag
... I have always found Scotty's have an excellent balance. Seems like a small thing but I think a putters balance is essential to a consistent putter head path. I have tried to use several Scotty's over the years but most just don't work well for me. The biggest exception is a JAT, heel shafted Segio inspired putter that I did use for almost 2 seasons. But I always end up going back to an 8802 style putter. As others have said, Scotty's are a nice putter, no more no less with no guarantee you will putt better or worse with one. I have 4 at the moment and am waiting for the right time to sell my Inspired By Brad Faxon Limited Edition putter but I have a Newport 2.5 I should have sold a long time ago. juspoole, cnosil, berkeleybob and 1 other 4 Quote Driver: Qi10 10.5* ... Over the past few weeks, I have been testing putters for this years most wanted and since you have to try putters you wouldn't normally pick up, you really start to notice how some putters just seem to stay on the right path for your stroke while others seem fight against what you are trying to do. This all comes down to weight, CoG, offset, and other design aspects of the putter, not the name that is on the putter. berkeleybob, Rickp, fozcycle and 1 other 4 Quote Driver: G400 Max 9* w/ KBS Tour Driven Fairway: TS3 15* w/Project X Hzardous Smoke Hybrids: 915H 21* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype 915H 24* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype Irons: TR20V 6-11 w/Vizard TR20-85 Graphite Wedge: 54/12D, 60/8M w/:Accra iWedge 90 Graphite Putter: TM-180 Testing: Backups: Milled Collection RSX 2, mFGP2, Futura 5W Member: MGS Hitsquad since 2017 Link to comment
lamb
I have played a scotty for over a decade. I think it is a great putter that feels fantastic, but i think a lot of it is mental also. All the "good" players used a scotty back in the day so I did the same. Now I've had it for so long and I putt so well that I wouldn't dare change. So any other putter has a near impossible standard to live up to for me. berkeleybob 1 Quote M5 12* - ACCRA TZ6 55 M4 - 1.5* open, weight back & toe TS3 16.5* - ACCRA FX 2.0 370 M4 - B1 setting, neutral weight 818 H1 21* - TENSEI White 90 S - C1 setting, neutral weight MP-20 MMC 4-PW - PX LZ 5.0 110g - 2* flat & 2* weak T20 50.07*, 54.12*, 60.06* - PX LZ 5.5 115g - 2* flat Newport 2 - 33" Pro V1x Link to comment

Rickp
While circle T's do carry premium prices, even OTR Camerons hold their value pretty well. Scottys to me are a little more than putters. They are well made, finished and balanced. They have a solid following that really love these putters and have become iconic. Having Pros use them and shown on TV every week doesn’t hurt. Some of the putter designs aren’t really new. If you look at old Pings, TP Mills and other older putter makers you will see where Scottys got the ideas.I’ve had more than a few and I’ve enjoyed them and putted well with them as I have with other makers also. I may own one again, never know.
