Popular Post Mr. 82
I took the pictures after my first range session with this club, but I found it at Edwin Watts on sale for $119.95 and was actually surprised that they still had a new SM7 in the exact loft, bounce, and grind that I wanted, so I went ahead and pulled the trigger. My first range session went really well, and I actually used it on my approach shot on the 1st hole from 100 yards, and stuck it to like 15 feet. I think this club will fit nicely with the rest of my clubs currently proud members of my bag. MDGolfHacker, M. juspoole
Looking good - cool you were able to find the exact specs you wanted. I have had vokeys in my bag for quite a while as well. Just picked up the new SM8 but have not had a chance to play with it yet. Good luck with the wedge and your game as you continue the season. Was able to play in a tournament this past Sunday and really put this wedge to the test...it passed and is a massive improvement over my last set of well dated wedges. I also got the 50.08F and 58.12D. I only hit it on full shots, but with the few shots I tested it with I really liked it. Two of my newest favorite clubs in my bag are both my Vokey wedges. Mr. 82
Just an update. This club is just freaking money. I had several full 100 yard shots over the weekend, and every time I pulled this club out I stick it to within 10 feet of the hole. I mean, dialed in is an understatement. I'm actually now trying to figure out ways to give myself 95-100 yards into every single hole I play. It's so ridiculously good it's insane. Factor in that I love my 58° Vokey as well, and I may never play another type of wedge ever again. Why I didn't invest in Vokey wedges years ago makes me (almost) sick. This club is just nails! MDGolfHacker
Glad to hear that the vokeys are money for you! Played Vokey SM's for the longest time but tested the Cleveland wedges and thought they were just as good as the Vokeys! Love those Cleveland wedges just as much as I loved my vokeys!
