While I don't want to comment solely on the honeymoon period, I will say that it is a nice feel. This version of the Calibrate still lets me play without a glove and has a nice "squish" but isn't so spongy where it messes with your head. juspoole
Working from home, which is not uncommon for me, but also as you might expect on a travel restriction. I typically travel around 40% with work. My wife just recently got a promotion with her hospital, that changes her from working 3 12-hour shifts per week, to a standard 8-5 managerial role, with expectations to be available for night shift personnel as well. Since she works at a hospital, she is still required to go into office each day leaving me with a 1, 3, and 5 year old at times so it's been tough to stay focused. Trying to putt in the basement and make focused practice into my putt out trainer as I go. Also set the net up in the garage so I can at least keep the golf muscles free and try to make solid contact without making swing changes. Watching some golf vids on youtube like others and trying to to buy clubs/items I don't really need right now. sixcat
Just a few observations from my families adventures of the past 10 days. My kids have figured out they can do school work on Google Classroom in a fraction of the time they spend in a classroom. My kids have learned that going to school everyday means spending time with friends. Being quarantined means not seeing friends at all. Clients have figured out conference calls are the way to justify their existence. Clients have miraculously learned how to reply all........incessantly! Clients have decided they need every ounce of potential workload in case they are sent home. Thus reducing timetables on deliverables from me. I have lost what little faith/respect/trust in media I ever had. My wife and I have figured out we made terrible career choices! If my emergency nines weren't a priority before this mess, they have become a lifesaver. If not, I may be in a padded white room right now! MDGolfHacker
My wife and I are both teleworking with the kids home. Both are doing some online schoolwork. Why in the world my daughter decided to dig out her recorder (it's like a flute) and try to learn a song on it while I'm trying to do a conference call is beyond me. My son, has become addicted to youtube videos on mindcraft and youtubers doing stupid stuff (I'm pretty sure watching that is rotting his brain). We've done some biking trails, hiking trails, a kickball game (the result of which I twisted and sprained my ankle since Tuesday), some family movie nights and game nights - You're looking at the reigning Yatzee Champion of my house...ha ha ha. There may have been lots of drinking this week...so much so the wife decided she needed to stock up and just left with my neighbor to do an alcohol run. Not to mention the honey do list that seems to grow like the spread of this virus. On tap with the bum ankle tomorrow...cut the top of a tree down that's been growing too close to the house, and next week, build a new wall and frame and install a door in the basement to enclose a bedroom we put down there, and I'm sure more beer, wine and liquor. Somehow, all the neighborhood kids have decided my house is play central too...did I mention more beer, wine and liquor is in my future ? fixyurdivot
For the past week, we've been watching our Canadian neighbors pack and head for home. The other day, while walking River in the desert, we watched the procession of RV's headed north on US 95. Our weekly Saturday golf event has gone from the normal 7-8 foursomes to two tomorrow. Monday's round looks like there will be 5 of us. Our park feels like a ghost town. We read, take walks, ride bikes, and try to carry on as normal as possible.
