chemclub
I own a pair of Adidas Tour 360 spikeless (based on MGS most wanted https://mygolfspy.com/best-spikeless-shoe-of-2019/) and absolutely love them. But I am looking for a more breathable shoe for hotter, dryer rounds (for example, a golf trip in August with 108 holes in 3 days - yikes!). If I could buy a breathable Adidas built on the same last as the Tour 360 I would in a heartbeat. I take a 11.5 Wide and often have a terrible time finding shoes that feel comfortable out of the box. Any recommendations? I already have a pair of Truelinks Knits that I wear just as a regular shoe because I find them pretty sloppy in terms of stability. Based on my success with MGS's last recommendation I am tempted to try the Puma Grip Fusion Sport, but they don't have wide sizes. Any experience with these? azstu324
I've been using the Puma Grip Fusion sport for about a year now. I'm in Arizona so definitely a good place to put them through their paces. I switched from the Adidas 360 Traxion and they are way more comfy. I will say that they're probably the most comfortable, breathable, and best performing golf shoes within that price point that I've ever owned.I've used them through the winter too and in slightly wet grass and no issues whatsoever with moisture getting in. I do have slightly narrow feet and these fit me perfectly. I even wear them slightly loose and just slip my feet into them without tying them up and never have any issues with slippage or support. Highly highly recommend!the more I practice, the luckier I seem to get.. thebalata
If you can find them, the old flyknit Nike racers are great in hot weather. They're spiked, but may be just what you're looking for. I have a pair of leather Tour 360 which are pretty broken down now in 11W. Great shoes, but heavy. The shop I bought the Primeknit version from didn't have a wide option, so I tried 11.5R and they fit better than my other pair. Very comfortable to walk in, lightweight, but definitely not the shoes you want to wear on an early morning round when there's a lot of dew and rough cutting going on. jbsdaddy
I wear a size 13 shoe, and have very narrow (AA) and flat feet. I am notoriously hard to fit for shoes. Can not remember ever finding a pair of Nike, Adidas, or Foot Joy that I could wear. The only golf shoe Ive found that fits me is Sketchers. I have two pair, one waterproof for winter, wet weather, and one fabric breathable shoe for hot dry weather. And it gets hot as hell here in the summer. Dont have model names here with me now, but I found at a local golf store. If you need I can get the model names. I bought them online, on sale, but returned them to a Golf Galaxy store yesterday. I looked at several of the other lighter weight offerings. Puma Ignite felt flat underfoot and the Adidas Codechaos don't have spikes, so I went for another pair of Tour 360 Primeknit. I'm hoping these last longer. How do you find the lateral stability with the knit material? In terms of stability, they're good. I don't generally swing out of my shoes, but I do tend to stretch/stress the outside of my left shoes (leather upper Tour 360 & FJ Dryjoy) during my finish, which is where these busted. I think I saw DJ wearing a primeknit shoe last year, and I'd imagine if they're stable enough for him, they would be for the average golfer. Then again, he probably replaces his shoes every few rounds, so he wouldn't break them down over time. I'll see how this second pair holds up, and report back.
