Though it sounds like based on the article there was a "fit from stock" approach which means different testers were using different lofts and shafts so that might not work. Maybe a metric around the ration between static loft and launch angle might provide some useful information.

That would work. Maybe just average all the lofts used and average all the launch angles to give the final ratio.

Though if we want to get really into the weeds here. Likely should normalize this against the players average launch angle to account for standard shot shape of each tester.

You may believe this or not.  But history has shown traffic on the MGS site is much higher on weekdays vs weekends, and dips during the week when it's  Government Holiday. See the trend here?   In short, most people are more active on MGS---and other SM sites---when at work than when home.

So I'm sure with the large number of people who are not in offices but working or quarantined at home had something to do with it.   Along with I'm sure the HQ staff has upgraded or taken steps to prevent overloads like we've seen in the past.

I'm not surprised at all based on my personal  experience.  I had the SIM MAX and it just flat out didn't work for me.  Switched to the SIM MAX-D and went up a whole degree in loft and it was much better.

It truly is  a driver I would recommned getting fit for versus going off specs from a previous fitting, that simply won't work in this case, IMO.

I like the distraction at work from the mundane. Glad I can be the opposite of the trend!

I appreciate all the time and work put into this. But.... I'm a Titleist guy, so I will probably always play a Titleist driver. I just seem to get along with them. I just bought a new TS3 that I will probably never get to play this year...lol. I did get to play 18 holes with it a few weeks ago.............. Loved it!

You are correct,  the lofts and shafts were set for based on what worked best for us.

... I would think waiting for the different swing speed performances would be a good idea for most people's decision guide. Especially if you are on either end of the extremes.

Hard to believe the Sim Max D did so well. Lower spin that the Sim Max? Crazy. Guess I am glad I loved from the Sim to the Sim Max D. Two rounds in and I am very happy and this study makes me happier.

I’m interested to see what the high swing speed breakdown is. I was surprised to see that TM snuck in there when the overall most wanted went to the flash.

It really makes me want to find a good g400 on eBay since I can still use my tour shaft from the g30 to try out. Haha.

Used F9 prices are pretty tempting too.

Hmmmmm this quarantine could get expensive.

Any word on when the test results with the previous year's winners will be released?  I'm excited to see how the past winners stack up with the latest.

Haven't even done the test.   They had to wait until the winner was selected and due to Coronavirus all testing has been shutdown.

How did the TS3 fare last year? I'm half drunk and not willing to do a search...lol.
According to the 2019 test it finished 8th in strokes gained and dropped to 16th this year under the new testing guidelines. Screenshot_20200323-214535_Firefox-01.jpeg

I apologize for not having a photo with the data, you have to be in landscape mode with a cell phone to see it and I wanted to show the entire list.

Driver test was good as always.  Anyone do the TrueFit? I'd suggest to get your driver numbers first, then pay for it.

I'm surprised the Tommy Armour 845 didn't get the best value.  All of the hints Harry was dropping on the pod I thought that was a shoe in.  The data doesn't lie I guess but I am still surprised.  I didn't dive in too far to the data but was the gap significant?  Also, the most wanted and the best value are only $50 apart in price.  Does that make the Tour Edge a "pound for pound" king?

Seems like Mizuino should be #1 for you based off these numbers. I would be interested to know how the app comes up with the "best" fits.

IIRC the recommendation comes from the swing speed data. Shafts are always going to be stock options.

Idk, with Ping dropping their prices on the 410 line, while beating out this years' offerings, makes them pretttttttttttty attractive in terms of price:performance

The PXG 0811XF Gen 2 was too low launching, low spin for me, but it didn't make sense to me because it's the "forgiving" model. This data makes me feel better.

I have a question about the data and it may seem like a stupid one, but I have to make sure I'm reading this correctly.  The smaller the shot area number, the more accurate the driver right?
