Covid claims the first of (many?) golf courses.

Eaglemont Golf course in Washington just announced that they will be closing for good. I'm sure like many courses, finances were already stretched before this event, and with it the end is here.

I'll miss the driving range the most. As I live very close to it and would go up a time or two a week for a range session. I guess this just confirms I'll need a skytrak for the garage... 🤔

Anyway, I'm sure there will be a lot of these announcements coming.

Hope you all are well and enjoying the government mandated family time.

That is too bad. Here in NW PA, there are numerous courses that have been up for sale for years and barely getting by. I'm guessing if this continues for even a small length of time, some of them will be gone for good.

Ping G400 Max @ 9 degrees

Ping G400 Stretch 3W

Ping G400 3i Hybrid

Cleveland 2009 launcher 4i Hybrid (also a 2i and 1i not currently in the bag)

Ping G700 5-9, PW, GW, SW (Green Dot and 3/4" length addition)

Ping Glide-3 60 Deg. LW (Green Dot) (also a Glide-2 58 deg LW and Glide 54 Deg SW not in the bag)

All Golf Pride CP2 Wrap Midsize Grips

Cleveland Huntington Beach Soft 11 Putter 35" w/oversize grip

Beautiful course but to be honest I am not really surprised as it did not really seem to be sustainable long term. Higher priced resort style style, highly difficult target golf course in a lower populated area with relatively high real estate values. Unfortunately the land is likely worth way more as residential housing than a golf course.
