Hey everyone!

 

I made a group for us on Strava, follow the link below to get to the club site to join. Right now it has a Blue Rook chess piece as the logo. * it has the MGS logo now, unmistakable.

 

For those that don’t know what Strava is, it is a fitness tracking application that tracks pretty much everything, walks, runs, rides, swimming, snowshoeing, etc.

 

It will be a good way to keep each other motivated.

I connected it to my fitbit... so my chipping practice in the backyard better count!

I'm in. Just be aware 99% of my activity will be on the bike, so my miles will look disproportionate to you runners. I do run every now and then, but that's mostly a winter activity for me, now past.

All signed up. No running here but hopefully some nice longer walks with the dogs... Do their steps count as mine too? I may try to walk all 3 if that's the case!

And holy cow do you ever put some miles on that thing. Very nice! 

I'm hoping to join you back in the cycling activity soon. The bike I was riding caused knee/hip pain once I started ticking the miles upward so I made the decision to shelf it until I can take the plunge and get a proper fitted bike.

I don't think it automatically brings in data from other workout apps. I use Apple watch and have to manually input each from the notifications bell. It's not much work, just tap tap tap. My wife has Fitbit and I know it can be finicky for her sometimes but I haven't tried getting her going on Strava yet.

Oh no! Don't make me exercise AND do math. I'm definitely interested to see what the kiwi routes look like.

If they're anything like mine, walking dogs should count for less since they just pull you along! I do feel like pulling kids in a wagon should count extra though.
