Titleist87
It was my understanding that the Pro V1 spun more than the V1x. I quit playing the V1 because I backed too many off the green. Now, it seems, the literature states the V1x spins more than the V1. What is your experience? RickyBobby_PR
Titleist flipped th balls with the 2017 release. Prov1x is now the higher spinning ball and remains a higher flying ball. Here's a short video that explains the current versions, around the :35 mark is where it mentions the spin differences. There's a great chart out there that Titleist provides us (dealers) that breaks it down perfectly. If I can find it I'll post it. https://www.titleist.com/golf-balls/pro-v1-pro-v1x FloridaGary, connerp93, Titleist87 and 1 other 4 Quote G430 Max 10K TSiR1 15.0 Aldlia Ascent 60g TSR2 18.0 PX Aldila Ascent 6og TSi1 20 Aldila Ascent Shafts R T350 5-GW SteelFiber I80 SM10 48F/54M and58K S159 48S/52S/56W/60B Select 5.5 Flowback 35" ProV1 Play number
gualandi99
I was unaware that Titliest reversed these, is that really true? If that is the case then most of the PGA players must have switched balls. timesalmostup
Im playing ProV1s now because they made the switch to the lower spin variant. I like it so far. Cost can be an impediment for these balls but I ordered mint condition recycled balls and as long as youre ok with 25% of your balls have some company logos or the occasional sharpie dots, they are like brand new balls for 40% the cost. They spin enough for me but as always, YMMV. brockcdavison and tony@CIC

connerp93
Where do you order them? I've picked up the refreshed boxes from Academy and about a third of the balls have some sort of deformity or are already flaking. Sent from my SM-G973U using MyGolfSpy mobile app I would never buy "refurbished" balls for just that reason. They just have a new paint job that doesn't stay on, as you have found out. I always buy recycled, which means they are left just the way they are and graded according to quality. I just purchased 4 dozen Pro V1X's for $56.00.
