Masters week of Nov 9, 

US Open Sept 17 to 20

PGA Championship Aug 6-9

The Open Championship postponed to 2021

Ryder Cup will maintain it's date of Sept 10 to 13

Looks like it will be a busy fall sports schedule....assuming all goes well with the containment of the Corona Virus  

Majors competing with College football and the NFL, will give the networks some puzzles to figure out.   But that's there problem,I'll just be thrilled to watch golf during a time of year that it's normally not a big deal. 

Here's the full schedule.   So we'll have The Tour Championship, The Ryder Cup and US Open all back to back to back weeks.

what does it mean for the Open Championship to be "postponed" to next year? 

the tournament takes place every year... is 'postponed' a better term than cancelled or are they planning to play it 2x in 2021?

So, the Masters will be played after the FedEx Cup. No points from that tournament to help get into the field for the big money!

 

It is going to be interesting watching the tournament without all of the beautiful azaleas in bloom. Might even see some dormant grasses. Well, unless they ship-in fresh azaleas and pull everything on the grounds, and I’m sure they’d “paint” brown, dormant grass.

Just think!! Instead of pink Azaleas, you will have all the trees in fall colors. Burnt oranges, reds, and yellows. It may be even more beautiful.

Found some clarification.

The Open Championship is cancelled....

The British Open has officially been canceled. The R&A reportedly has pandemic insurance, which meant the organization had to make a decision soon on whether to cancel if it wanted to collect on that insurance. Royal St. Georges, which was slated to host this year’s event, will now play host in 2021, The 2022 event, which will be the 150th playing of The Open, will take place at St. Andrews.

Postponed in my mind.  They can say cancelled if they choose.  But i call it  postponed as in Royal St. Georges will still be hosting snd its still the 149th Open as it would have been this year.  Everything just pushed back a year. Matter of semantics, i guesd. 
 

Just like the Olympics have been postponed until 2021 and will still be the 2020 Olympics.

The NFL May offer NBC a 1pm and 4pm as well as their regular SNF game?

I can’t see a scenario where the final round of The Masters isn’t televised.

This is going to be a packed fall. It's going to be a tough watch for a lot of these tournaments if they are not close or a big draw is not in contention with a lot of football going on. 

Also not sure if the NHL and NBA will be running some playoffs in August, would give them more competition as well as the MLB. 

It will be nice to have the problem of too many sports on TV.

I was thinking about you and Kirke this past Sunday. I was bored so started channel surfing and found the Drive, Chip and Putt competition on GC. I never watched it before and it was really neat to see the kids competing. Wish my son started playing when he was that young. Hope you can get Kirke involved in the competition.

All the qualifying for this year has been cancelled; the kids who were supposed to be in the finals this past Sunday will compete next spring. Then the cycle will start up again.

5:25 on November 15, according to time and date site. 
 

i have heard suggestions they will have leaders tee off by 12:00 and finish by 4:00 to 4:30 and CBS can have a 4:35 game or even do a swap with NBC for the Sunday Night game if there is an attractive game that day to offer up.  
 

Like someone else said.  They’ll work it out and We judt get to sit back and enjoy it all.

Ryder Cup is the 25-27. What a great 2 week with US Open and Ryder Cup! I’m holding out hope.
