GolfSpy_SHARK
Hey all. So pretty much revamping my entire bag this year. It is time for a switch up (everything in the bag was about 7 years old and have seen ALOT of rounds). Current bag is 14 way and definitely looking to downsize to a 5 way. Narrowed down to Titelist Hybrid 5 way and Taylormade flextech. I have gone through some reviews online. Definitly overall positive, I am leaning towards the TM based on the overall layout and storage areas seem better. I have a large variation of equipment brands and want to atleast have my bag the same brand as a set of my clubs. Does anyone have any recommendations, pros/cons on these from experience or read that I am not seeing? Thank you in advance (I would rather go see these but I want my new setup ready for when courses open)...I am impatient as well) JNauss, PMookie and GolfSpy BOS 3 Quote Check out my reviews: G710 Irons Official Review I MC Shaft & V Series Putter Official Review 2022 Forged Tec's Official Review I Nitron Push Cart Official Review WITB: Weapons of grass destruction (link to WITB) Traverse is filled with all this shiny metal and tracked by RadSpeed 8* - MotoreX F1 6X SIM 3W - Project X HZRDUS Green U505 Driving Iron 17* - Project X HZRDUS Black SpeedZone 4H - Project X HZRDUS Black 2022 King Forged Tec's 4-PW - KBS $ Tape 130 48 (SM8), 52 & 60 (SM7) - Nippon Modus 125 S ER2VI PROV1X #19 Are you a veteran? palvord
I used the TaylorMade Flextech for a season. It's a good bag and I liked the setup especially for carrying it on my back for a 9 hole round. For an 18 hole round, I would ride or use a push cart. The storage space is perfect to hold enough for a long golf trip as well as be in convenient locations for quick access for that after work 9 hole round. How was the separation of clubs overall? When pulling clubs did multiple come out or was it segregated well? I had no issues with club separation or multiple clubs coming out when walking the course. The only time it was an issue was when the bag was strapped to a golf cart and standing vertical. The bag is designed for the clubs to come out on an angle with the stand system. Golfspy_CG2
I had a TM FlexTech last year and really liked it a lot. I donated it to my boss as he needed an upgrade and he kept ogling it every time he came into my office...I'm not dummy..ha I just got the Titleist Hybrid 5 in all black that is pictured in the middle of the top row of those Titleist bags. I've only used it for one round in Florida, and it's great. I can't recall too many of the features of the TM vs the Titleist, but I think they are both pretty close to the same. Can't go wrong with eithrer. PMookie
I don’t know what it is about that script Titleist, but that alone makes me love their bags! I won a Sta-Dry 4 way top a couple years ago, and it’s served me well. It’s flown all over the country, and is still holding-up great. I’ve been very happy with it. I have a prettt wide variety so wanted to keep the bag within the brands I have. i did order today though will post pictures on here and update my WITB post beginning of next week! KatoGolfer
I've always been a fan of Ogio bags. They offer pretty much any size you could possibly want and I like their zipperless ball pocket a lot. My issue was with revamping my set I wanted to make sure I had a bag that was atleast a brand of 1 of my clubs (Titleist, adams golf, Taylormade and Cleveland). I guess I am anal in that way lol. But long story short I got away from that and focused on Titleist and TM for that reason (granted they have their different perks) I.E. Ogio is probably in my eyes a little better organization and the separation of clubs is great but overall all the major manufacturers make a great product. It's a great value with some cool designs and it includes the 5 way you are looking for. I was speaking with a bag specialist at The Golf Mart Superstore and she highly recommended the Hoofer because the leg stand design was so simple and easy. They're all that way but she said because of the simplicity, it is less likely to break and wear out. Less pieces, less chance for it to break. I have gamed it for about 5 rounds and I found all of the pockets are where I would like them. Plus, I like the magnetic pouch (just above the large zipper pouch) which I use for balls. Plus, it's lightweight and I like to walk! Good price too. I added a photo of mine.

Play18
I had Titleist Players 4 StaDry bag, but the bag strap fastening clip broke making the bag useless and the StaDry didn't keep clubs dry. That was a horrible piece of their bag tech. I replaced it with the lighter Titleist Players 4 Plus bag and so far so good. This year, I want to walk more rounds and taking my minimalist MacKenzie bag or a really lightening up my Titleist bag. Hopefully, you pick the bag that fits your game and style!
