Headhammer
I really like the style of some of the golf shoes from Puma and there are some great deals on last year's models right now. Anyone wear Puma shoes? If so, are they comfortable right out of the box or do they require break-in? How do they run on sizing? sirchunksalot
I have a pair of the Solelace shoes, and they are extremely comfortable. The lacing system on these is a hair awkward, but Puma has a lot of different styles to choose from. The sizing hasn't been an issue for me, they run true to what I generally wear. RickyBobby_PR
The one complaint I have seen about puma shoes is the waterproofing in their spikeless lineup. MaxEntropy
My last two pairs of golf shoes have been Pumas, currently these... Prior to that was the similar model, but a couple years older. I also have a couple pairs of Puma tennis shoes and a pair of Puma composite-toe work boots for when I have to go into our manufacturing plants. In general, I love them for comfort but would suggest they are made for narrower feet so you may have to try some on to get a sense for how they will fit. My current shoes have a two year waterproof guarantee and my feet have never gotten wet except for the couple occasions I have been a moron and stepped in puddles that went above my ankles to retrieve balls. buttercuts42
Currently have a pair of the Puma Ignite (BOA). Awesome shoe. WIth any pair of shoes took 2 rounds to break in and after that they have been one of the best golf shoes I have ever owned. The BOA is awesome always like the fact that there is not tieing of laces. Highly recommend puma! Headhammer 1 Quote What's In My Bag... Driver: Looking for a new one..... (Small, Large) I bought some Puma Ignite high tops and I definitely found a break in period. Also, after about twenty rounds, I found one of the spike wells had fallen out. Not the spike itself, the well where the spike is attached. I luckily got a refund and I used them to get a different brand. They were certainly comfortable though after I broke them in! NEXShotGolf
I've had my eye on these since last year but everytime I decide to pull the trigger, I see an ad for a new version coming out. Mtbryant01
I recently bought the Ignite NXT Spikeless shoes. My first time wearing them was 2 days after a big rain and walking 9 holes. They were extremely comfortable and didn’t have any issues at all. I have now played 2 rounds with them and it seems like I have been wearing them for a year now. My only concern is how long will the grip hold up considering they are “spikeless”. I only put the shoes on when I get in the cart to limit the wear and tear on the concrete/asphalt. The only downside to them is waling or standing on hilly terrain, they don't have great lateral stability. But probably the most comfortable walking shoe i have tried in a while. But yeah, right out of the box, you can wear them for as long as you'd like. Side note, shoes should NEVER require a break in period, if a shoe salesman tells you that, put them away and leave. That comes from a couple of the manufactures of golf shoes directly. As for sizing, i wear a 14 and I have rather wide feet, but I don't usually require an extra wide or anything like that. The 14 in these fit fine, just like the 14 in Adidas or Footjoy.
