Was internet window shopping and found a deal I couldn’t pass up on a set of Mizuno MP 18 MMC With project X 6.5 (should be getting them Saturday) Wondering if anyone had any experience with the irons and if they like them. Been gaming Nike vapor pros with DG s300 for past few seasons. I feel like I’m in for a 180 on feel and performance. stay safe everyone! Probably got a good deal in them. while I personally did not play the mmc irons I would have. They offer a very good look, that is packed with tech and playability. Performance between them are similar but feel is very different. You are going up a flex and a big change in the stoutness of feels. juspoole Posted April 22, 2020 Share Posted April 22, 2020 I've got the Mizuno MP 18 SC and I do not see myself going with anything else for the next 5+ years if that tells you anything. Great choice and congratulations on finishing up school. As @jlukes mentioned, those are going to feel a lot stiffer and the project x play much lower in ball flight from my experience. Definitely a great shaft though. I had the 6.0 in the 710 AP2's years ago. Good luck with them, mp-18s are great. My shoulders would hate me trying to swing a 6.5. swing em well. I have a feeling you won't want to take those new sticks out of your bag for a long time. Just curious. Ball flight was lower and dispersion was not as good with the 6.0's. It was pretty close though. Definitely a completely different feel but I’ve gotten used to them and the performance is so much better with the 6.5 shafts for me.
