Who is the best current professional golfer from your state?

Recommended Posts

I'm wondering who the best current professional golfer from your state is.  I live in Tennessee, so my vote is going to be Brandt Snedeker, winner of the 2012 FedEx Cup and a member of the Mr. 59 club, which he shot in 2018 at the Wyndham Championshp.

What state do you live in, and who is the best current professional golfer from there?

Not much to pick from in North Dakota! Only one option on the PGA, in fact, and he wasn't even born here!

Tom Hoge was born in North Carolina but grew up in Fargo. No tour wins for him yet, but he was racking up top 10s before this year's season was postponed.

On the LPGA, ND's claim to fame is Amy Olson--she also grew up in Fargo and went to college in North Dakota too.

According to wikipedia, I believe Stacey Lewis is best active from Ohio. Multi major winner and former world #1. Men's would be Dufner, Jason Kokrak, or Ryan Armour. But we got Jack so....

I spent my sophomore year in H.S. at Fargo Central in 1962-63.  Then my parents got smart and we moved back to Oregon.

Best is Freddie Couples.

Also on the senior circuit, I always liked Kirk Triplett.

Others currently playing on tour are Ryan Moore, Luke List, Kyle Stanley.

Most notable on the Golf Channel is Paige Mackenzie.

Not sure if Oregon even has a current golfer on any major tour. Peter Jacobsen would be the most well known.

Currently, Sam Burns, I guess, but David Toms, Hal Sutton, Miller Barber, and Gary Koch are the biggest names from Louisiana.

Calvin Peete from my home State of Michigan!!!

Agree on Freddie. Apparently my dad knew him and played with him in Freddie's younger days. Unfortunately my dad passed away when I was too young to have asked about it.

He has such a sweet swing.  It's too bad that he has fought back issues his whole career.  If he stayed healthy, he would have been a multiple major winner.

Oh yeah, there's this... My wife has said that she wouldn't throw him out for eating crackers in bed.  😆

I can’t figure it out. She’s lost her card a few times, goes back to Symmetra tour gets her status again and rinse and repeat. I’ve seen hit hit balls and watched some videos from her coach and nothing looks different in her game.

i agree on the legs 😜
