ZenGolfer
In Ohio we can golf as long we follow social distancing guidelines. Some courses are walking only and those who allow carts limit it to 1 person per cart. All of the courses have some kind of modification to the holes, be it inverted cups, sytrofoam in the cups or a whiffle ball cover the hole. Most of the courses require you to pay online or over the phone too. juspoole
Indiana is open for the most part. Some counties have different rules, but where I am they are open. Booked a tee time for Wednesday afternoon and should be low 60's. Looking forward to playing a course after a few days of no rain. The course is usually is good condition so I'm hoping for decently fast greens and fairways. We will see. Good luck and stay safe to others who are playing and sorry to those who cannot. I played a course last weekend, Denison Golf Club, and there were no flag sticks. It forced me to aim at the center of the green. I played to my handicap and I'm convinced it's because I wasn't pin-seeking. I read an article that night that best thing that ameteur golfers could do is aim for the middle of the green! I gave up on pin seeking a few years ago and it did help. Now I only look at the slope of the green and aim accordingly. I'm currently out with really painful back pain, and don't know when I'll resume playing. But if I was healthy I would be playing. The governor of New York is colossal asshat IMHO, but he's simply a reflection of his constituents, again IMHO. I agree but take exception to the "constituents" comment. Just because I live here makes me a constituent but me and most of NY thinks he's an asshat. He only won the 4 large cities and lost all other counties in the last 2 elections. New York City controls him and he makes all decisions based on what will give him the city votes. Do you realize that there is a lot more to the state than that big s*** hole on the southern tip? Wasn't the Florida governor the one who thought that churches shouldn't be included? I had bought into the monthly membership about a week before they "self-closed". They had made an agreement that anyone with a membership of any sort could continue to golf at-will and that they would maintain the course in the duration. The only downside.. but not really is that it's walking only. My fat arse could use the steps. They are also giving me an extra month when they open back up. I've gone probably 5 times in the past 2 weeks. Usually I'm one of the few people on the whole course and it's being meticulously cared for.
