The three golf channels I follow on YouTube are Rick Shiels, TXG and Erik Anders Lang.

Erik’s channel is pure entertainment

i really like how Rick works in club reviews, on course videos and generally fun content.

TXG is my favorite.  I could dig into club and swing data for hours.  They’re videos feed heavily into my analytical nature.

I follow Rick Shields, Shawn Clement, Robinson, Mr. Short Game, Me and My Golf, Impact Snap, and a few others. Warning, be careful if you can’t understand, feel or separate the instruction and apply it to your own game. Especially at a time like now, when you’re stuck in the house or very limited.  It can be very addictive and disruptive to your game. I believe they all have something to offer, but all instruction is not meant for everyone. Get a live lesson or a virtual lesson for real results.

I work on a computer and have full time since 1994. So each day I sit behind a monitor.

That being said I get bored and need 'breaks' so I watch youtube - a lot more than I probably should.

I've seen all sorts of instructional/golf swing guys on there - Clement, Me & My Golf, Cogorno, Gangkas, Monte Scheinblum, a bunch of British guys and I watch the instructional stuff on Golf Channel too - Chris Como, Martin Hall, Michael Breed (I really miss him on that channel - I like his new YT channel)...

The one guy over all of them that I would pay ca$h to learn from - hands down - Mike Malaska....

He gets it - especially for amateurs... he knows people aren't trying to become pros, he knows people aren't super fit and athletic and the way he teaches the golf swing is so simple yet so effective. Every time I see one of his vids I learn something, try it, and man if he isn't right.

I have a bunch of non-instructional guys I watch too. Course vlogs and equipment reviews....but my goodness is Malaska great.

I'm careful to what I try to apply to my game, as I'm still recovering from the back surgery, I'm really looking to simplify my swing and work on my club delivery.

I absolutely have no interest in instructional videos!  I can't stress that enough.  As an extremely analytical person, having too much data to process is terrible for results on the golf course.  I know my swing and have the ability to correct within a reasonable period of time based on ball flight, divot and trajectory.

But I love golf architecture.  Especially course tours and vlogs.

  • No Laying Up
  • The Fried Egg (Andy's course flyover tours are phenomenal)
  • The Dapper Drive
  • Zac Radford (especially his on-course reviews)(His Spyglass video left me feeling like I had played Spyglass myself)
  • Skratch
  • Erik Anders Lang

Good List - Didn't see Golfholics or Fried Eggs until your list so was going to add them as well.  No laying up is good, especially some of the world of golf videos (funny but a bit long). TXG gives great info in fitting and why different pros have a set up.

Just watched a Byran Bros Golf video that was decent - they are likable and both pretty good players.

I have been watching Rick Shiels and Peter Finch.

More recently I stumbled on to Alex Etches. He does a lot of what he calls out of bounds episode where he hits a random assortment of clubs that you are likely to see golf channel commercials. He also does retro review s and club reviews. I think he is hilarious but his jokes are similar to the ones I make.

I do find that I prefer entertainment and equipment videos hold my interest more than instructional videos.  Sometimes instructional videos do me more harm than good!  Shiels, Robinson, the average golfer, Mr ShortGame are some of the ones I watch (and all have already been mentioned). Getting back into the game after a decade of playing very little (and not updating my bag), all of these are new subscriptions for me and I'm really enjoying them.

Shiels and Crossfield for reviews and entertainment.
I'm trying not too watch too many, you can drive yourself crazy.
Tend to stay away from the instructional side unless there's something specific I'm looking to address.

I also like things like "the most satisfying golf video of all time".... makes me smile every time.
