Well my huge izzo net.... It's huge! Won't fit in my garage 😂 soooooooooooo I might have to sell and buy a smaller one because my HOA won't take kindly to me having it in my front yard.

I caved and bought one on Wayfair as I seriously couldn’t find anything decent online anywhere.   Also, I’m in Canada and no courses except in British Columbia are open.    What states have allowed golf to continue or opened recently with social distancing ?  I can’t think of any other sport besides golf that could really relax the business shutdown?

Appreciate any “likes” here as I’ve been relegated to recruit status.

thanks golf bro’s

That looks like a great net and all, but I can't put it past myself to miss it and bury one into my drywall. Especially risky to hit over it with a wedge or something.

Regardless, that's a very comfortable looking setup for your daily conference calls. Nice!

I understand your concerns(believe me I am being careful, but I’m a 4 handicap; however I’ve put a bag directly where a s.... would occur so that a direct hit doesn’t occur. My negative so far is that without a brace the net still backs up slowly a bit after each hit. I wouldn’t go higher than a 8 iron; the ceiling is too close for a full swing; more of a follow through issue. It’s better than no golf for me

I may have begun to lose my mind on that subject.

I’ve been warily eyeing this little alcove in the home office space. Leaning toward some kind of hanging heavy curtain/screen?

Lateral drywall kisses are currently the least of my worries. And when that unfortunate hypothetical plays out over-and-over in my head, there are always at least a couple wall ricochets, scrubbing off speed before the ball finds a soft sensitive part of my body.

I think if we could agree as group to film _ALL_ our indoor sessions, the highlight reel would undoubtedly showcase some seriously scary sh*ts.

Hang a sheet.  Same day shipping and easy install.

I got one up, but it did take some trial and error. Here is what I learned.

1) A bed sheet was the first thing I tried. Probably works well if you have enough room between you and your neighbours because the impact is pretty loud.

2) Made up my mind to pay the $ and ordered a net off Amazon.ca. Relatively few choices, but I got the one from Dynamax. I worry though because while most of the reviews have been pretty good, a few customers shot their balls right through the net after a few hundred whacks. I only installed mine a couple of week ago, so we will see how that goes.

3) If you are on tile/concrete/cement, the ball dropping is going to be noisy. Once again, a problem if you live in a condo like myself.

4) To mitigate this problem, I first hung the net so that it's pretty slack. Even though the net is 10 x 10 ft, hung it so that was was 6 ft wide by 8 ft high. Lots of material draping to the ground.

5) Surprisingly, when I moved the hooks further apart, so that it hung 9 ft wide by 8 ft high, the net seemed to "catch" the ball more and didn't just drop the ball straight to the ground after it stopped it. I am not sure how this works, but it worked.

6) I do not like the strips of turf to hit off. Went to a driving range and bought one of their old mats. It's not in great condition, but still better than hitting off a strip for me.

I use a carpet remnant about the width of the mat and long enough so that my sheet/net hangs over it and the balls land on the carpet.  I miss the net with a driver by six inches so everything hits pretty low onto the net.  I did this so I can get good swing video.

Hmm, an old carpet is not a bad idea. I was thinking of getting some second hand foam mats from local gyms.

I actually just got an impact net from Walmart delivered in about 5 days. It didn't come with any type of frame so I was thinking of using pvc to make one. But just tying some rope between 2 trees and hanging it with Carabiners has worked wonderfully for the past week or so.
