Alignment sticks and foot spray for cheap way to see where you hit ball on face are great. The half noodle things are great for working on balance. Pool noodles are handy too

Wellputt mat.  It’s already helped my putting. I have two young girls and it has helped them with limited use as we just got it. Really helps alignment, target acquisition, distance control.

I would love to get one of the long ones to really work on my putting,  just no place to put one  😞

Putting mirror is my favorite training aid because there are so many things you can work on with it. Least favorite is any type of full swing aid that is supposed to stop some bad habit!

How long?  The 26 footer?  I have the 13 foot and I think it’s great. It’s the reasonable birdie putts I really needed help with.  I’m a decent lag putter. Good luck practicing!

I personally like foot spray on the club face. Instant feedback on context on the face.

other than that alignment sticks work well just to make sure I am lined up correctly. Simple things. I honestly thing stretches and different  workouts help more than aids on the range.

The best thing is different for each student.

As a new instructor, it is important to not overwhelm your students. Your encouragement and enthusiasm is huge in client retention.

Focus on the biggest fundamental that will help the student the most - one per lesson until they have it on lock before introducing something else.

My order of most important fundamentals are:

  1. Grip
  2. Balance
  3. Impact
  4. Direction
  5. Distance

It surprises me how many times instructors ignore some of the fundamentals and jump to shot shaping or distance too early.

A decent putting mat is a good thing to have whatever.  Especially if you don't have space for a dedicated area or artificial green.

I know this should be obvious, but I will add that the surface it placed is on needs to be as perfectly flat and level as possible.  I have a PuttOut mat for use at home, but the space (in my lounge) where I use it is very very slightly sloped, so some putts can visibly curve off line a little.  It is not a big deal to me as I can judge my efforts accordingly, but for students it could lead to subconsciously hitting slightly off to one side to compensate, especially on longer putts where any slope will have a greater effect.

I would love the 26 footer or even longer   I am a good putter and work on face control/startline all the time;  that is easy to do at home.   What I really want to do is fine tune distance putting by doing things like the ladder drill out to 40+ feet.

The best training tool is the one we use to teach the kids. It is called Swing Aid. You can pick up one off eBay for $5. Read the instructions off the net and put it on a 7 iron.

You will soon know if your swing correctly. The one I find best is a Tempo Trainer.

There's a thread on this in another part of the forums, but since training aids evolve just like golf clubs it's always worth discussion. My personal favorites have been the WellPutt Mat, Eyeline mirror, and Eyeline Edge Putting Rail (note: the rail doesn't work with all putters and can only be purchased with a 70-degree angle). If I were in the market for a new putting "rail", I'd go with The Putting Board (https://theputtingboard.com/).

These are my thoughts

Alignment sticks for foot alignment

Foot spray or impact tape for checking ball impact position on the clubface

Zepp 2 for full swing mechanics. Which gives you an overlay from your swing to a model swing.  Its easy to see inside / outside  / over the top swing paths.

Orange Whip for full swing feel with lag

Pool Noodles for swing path

Any type of matt for putting with at least a centerline.

I don't necessarily disagree with everyone's posts, but the TourStriker Smart Ball doesn't get enough credit.  Relatively cheap, highly portable, and fantastic for developing an in sync swing...really helps you to learn to swing with your big muscles and control the club face with pivot versus hands and arms.
