Spalding Golf balls

Has anyone heard or seen the new Spalding branded balls---- One of my regular playing buds started playing them the other week and gave me a sleeve yesterday. They have the Pure Soft which is IMHO is a pretty decent ball. I know I was getting a lot out of my driver yesterday with that ball. They seemed to check and spin pretty decent too. Felt good off the putter too. I can not find them on line at Wal Mart my friend says they are in the $11 per dozen range. I have not ventured out to Wal Mart yet just wondered if any one else knew. They have the old school Spalding logo on the front like the old Basketballs did with the number above it

There is a thread on WRX about a 3-piece TPU model called the SD Tour priced at $25 / dozen. The back of the box lists contact info for Reliable of Milwaukee who owns the Nitro brand. My guess is that this company is licensing the Spalding name and that these are produced by the same factory that makes their Nitro balls.

USGA conforming list contains three 2-piece ionomer models and two 3-piece TPU models, all have 352 dimples:

Molitor

Pure Speed

Pure Spin

SD Tour

SD Tour X

Driver:  Titleist TS2 9.5

Fairway:  Tour Edge CB4 Tour 16.5

Irons:  Titleist 690.CB 3-PW

Wedges:  Titleist Vokey SM5 50, 56

Putter:  Odyssey Works Versa 1W

Ball:  Vice Pro Plus

The Pure Speed and the Pure Spin were the two I was talking about. Thanks for the info. So they are conforming I was questioning if they were legal or not because they go so good. I had found a Pure Speed and was testing it too. Both balls go great

I found the thread you posted in. I had commented on it when it first started and that was when my bud had first started playing them.

Nice to see the Spalding name on balls again.  Now someone needs to bring back the bird-on-ball irons.
