GolfSpy BOS
Probably use my 52 (my lowest bounce wedge) to bump it into what looks like that ridge to left for a soft hop and let it feed down to the right. Or if the greens are slower or the slope isn't as severe as it is looking to me in the photo I would fly it further, maybe half way there and let it run towards the hole from there. From your description it sounds like I want to get at least to the hole to leave an uphill putt coming back. In reality I probably chunk a 60 flop shot that really didn't need to be attempted. If the green has significant grain towards the hole it will be tricky to get the backspin just right. Land it on the upslope and it’ll likely come up short. Land it on the downslope it won’t stop. I think I’d play a PW and hold the face off so it comes in a bit softer than an 8 and try to lay it just short of the top that dome there. It’s the flattest landing area with the the largest margin of error. If I was hitting everything really pure that day, I might clip it thin with a slightly open 56* and fly it close and try to check it.
