Cobra Airspeed Construction

Recommended Posts

Starting to eye off new driver.

Cobra have been pushing their machine milled narrative as the way to go.

Yet the 2020 F-Max Airspeed is using their E9 face.

Anyone know why? Weight? Structure support required for milled is heavier?

Thanks!

I agree with posters above. The milled face is going to cost more and they probably decided they would be better off with the standard hand polished face at the $330 price point rather than charging $400-450 to have a milled face.

It's possible (but imo unlikely) that they also did testing and decided that the performance gains from the milled face were not significant enough at the lower swing speeds that the F-max is intended for to warrant the extra cost.
