viking
Solo for me as I can totally concentrate, next a twosome but 3 some and 4 some are more for socializing and group recreation. DiscipleofPenick
I play fine in any as long as pace stays consistent. pozzit
I think its a mix for me I would say either solo or 2 some but I always feel if I'm alone it's more of practice so I take a little more liberty with certain situations.Using MyGolfSpy mobile app 1 Quote Driver: Ben Hogan GS53 3W: Callaway Big Bertha Steelhead 2 2i: Maltby KE4 FDI 4-PW: Maltby TS-1 - C-Taper 120g 50º: Maltby TSW 56º: Cleveland RTX-2 60º: Maltby Tour Grind MG Putter: Odyssey White Hot RX 2-ball Ball: Snell MTB X Other: Arccos (first year lets see how it goes) Handicap: 5.9 - Best Score: 73 (1 over) Bryan Park - Players Course, Greensboro NC -2020 2020 MGS Forum Tester - Ben Hogan GS53 Driver Link to comment
Tom the Golf Nut
It's all about pace of play. If I can stay in rythm I'm fine and dont care how people I'm with. If I have to help others find their ball 10 times a round, wait for them to decide what club to hit, watch them take 5 practice swings on each shot, or walk off yardage from sprinkler heads I'm in for a poor performance round. Gsi10561
Pace of play is the key. Whether I’m walking or riding I enjoy playing with other like minded golfers. I can’t stand it when people have lengthy pre swing routines. Putting is one thing that doesn’t bother me. Take your time and line it up. I love playing by myself but it sucks when you are stuck in between 2 groups. Quote Taylormade Woods Cobra Hybrid Hogan Irons HiToe Wedges Spider Putter Snell MTBX golf balls Link to comment
elvis14
For me it depends on the group. I have two best friends, for example: One that I golf with often. When he's in my cart (or walking with me since we don't share carts right now), I play better. We often talk about the golf they shots what went right/wrong, etc. Contrast that with my other best friend who drives me crazy (always taking extra shots, retries any missed putts several times, etc). I call playing with him death by 1000 waits because on every hole I have to adjust for something goofy he's doing. Most groups for me are somewhere in between these two extremes. Solo is OK for scoring but not my preference, this is a social game for me. Quote -elvis14, Hacker, Engineer, Dad, CG Camper, Co-Founder of From Your Neighbor Link to comment
Shankster
I prefer to play golf alone. It’s my time to get away from everything. But I’ll gladly go play a round with a stranger right now, just no shaking hands.Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy 2 Quote Link to comment
Eric D.
I feel like my shot making is better solo. However, I tend to rush putting solo and fare better in a group.
